“Let There be light”
The International youth day was celebrated at Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus on August 12, 2015 organised by Amity Institute of Behavioural and Allied Sciences (AIBAS). Ms. Satya Singh, inspector, Mahila Samman Prakostha and Mr. Anoop Gupta, Director I-Care were the chief guests of the event who along with Pro vice chancellor Major General K. K. Ohri, AVSM (Retd.), Prof. Manju Agarwal and other heads of institutes lit the lamp as a token of youth power and zeal. .
The theme of this year’s International Youth Day is “Youth Civic Engagement”.
Students from different departments participated and gave presentations of their contributions towards improving the quality of life of underprivileged and improving civic amenities. Theme based cultural programs were major attractions of the event. The event was not only full of zest, colours, joy, energy and determination, all of which characterize today’s youth but also motivated all those who were present to serve the cause in some way. Mr. Anoop Gupta and Ms. Satya Singh interacted with the students and motivated them to join their brigade for the social cause.
