An Industrial Visit -cum – Guest Lecture for students of all batches of BHM programme accompanied with 3 faculty members of Institution conducted on 3rd April, 2017 from 11.00 A.M. to 2.00 P.M. in Hotel Renaissance by Marriott, Lucknow. The following learning exposure was given to the students during the same industrial visit-cum- Guest Lecture –
Students were familiarized, shown and explained the functions of the Front of the house areas of the hotel i.e. Front Office Department-Reception, Information, Cashier, Concierge, Bell Desk section, Reservation section, Restaurants, Swimming Pool, Pool side Bar , Guest rooms and Back of the house areas i.e Human Resource Department, Housekeeping, Laundry, Security Office , Stores, Flower room, Linen and Uniform Room, Kitchens and staff Cafeterias.
Students were also familiarized with the latest technology and equipments being used by the hotel.
An interactive Session with the students was taken separately by the following personnel of the hotel –
- Ms Priyanka- Training Manager
- Chef Balvinder Pal Singh, Executive Sous Chef
- Ms Akanksha –Human Resource Executive.
A Guest Lecture on the topic “ Career opportunities in Hospitality Industry” with special reference to careers in Marriott Hotels & Resorts worldwide also conducted by Training Manager of the Hotel.
Overall, it was a good learning exposure both for the students and faculty members.
