Ph.D ADMISSIONS

Applications are invited for admission to Ph.D Registration/ Research Fellow Programs in the following disciplines:

There are seven categories: Corporate Research Scholar, Regular Academic Staff of the university, Regular Non-academic staff of the university, working teachers, sponsored candidates, self-financed Indian candidates and self-financed foreign candidates.

Eligibility:

1. The minimum qualification for admission to Ph.D. Programme shall be a Master’s Degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade.
2. Applicants with B.Tech./B. Arch. with excellent academic record (with minimum CGPA of 7.5 on a 10 point scale or equivalent or 70% marks) may be considered eligible for admission to Ph.D. programme in Engineering & Technology.
3. For Ph.D. in law candidates should possess LLM or M.Phil in Law. Those possessing LLB degree with either a Master’s degree in any other relevant subject or with at least 10 years of legal practice or experience in a judicial /legal job with published professional work or otherwise proven research interest may be considered eligible.

Mode of Admission: Through entrance test.
Last date for submission of form:   15 June 2010 for Jul - Aug Session and
                                                            15 Nov 2010 for Jan - Feb Session

Application Procedure:

Step 1     :        Candidate applies for the programme before the last date as per the session.
Step 2     :        An entrance test will be conducted (as per the directives of the UGC).
Step 3     :        Candidate is called for interview & presentation before the Department Research Committee of the department.
Step 4     :        DRC shortlists the candidates.

On recommendation of DRC, cases are forwarded for approval to the Vice Chancellor.

1.         Academic fees :           Full-time  -  Rs.1,00, 000 (Per Year)
                                                Part-time  -  Rs.   50,000 (Per Year)
2.         Security Deposit :        (One time) - Rs.  10,000 (Refundable)
3.         Registration Fees:        (One time) - Rs  10,000
