Corporate Stalwarts felicitated by Amity International Business School during the Global HR Summit

Continuing the tradition, Amity International Business School has started its two day Fourth Annual Global HR Summit. This year’s discussions and deliberations focused on “Cultivating Competency, Culture and Change in Global Organisations ”. The HR Summit is an exciting, stimulating and thought provoking platform where the best of academia and industry minds interact with budding managers.

The summit was inaugurated by Prof. Stephen Parkinson- Pro VC, Leeds Metropolitan University (UK), Dr. Mahesh C Aggarwal- Chair and Professor Mechanical Engineering & Coordinator International Program, University of Gannon; Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity University and Dr. Gurinder Singh- Pro- VC, Amity University and Director General, Amity International Business School.

Prof. Stephen Parkinson- Pro VC, Leeds Metropolitan University (UK) who was honored with Amity Academic Excellence Award, applauded the efforts of Amity University for providing such an interactive knowledge-sharing platform to the budding managers, where the key issues pertaining to the HR Industry will be identified and addressed. He further emphasized the spectacular progress India is making and stated that summits like this help in accentuating the knowledge of the future managers by providing them face to face interaction with the persons, who are at the zenith of their profession.

The Guest of Honor, Dr. Mahesh C Aggarwal- Chair and Professor Mechanical Engineering & Coordinator International Program, University of Gannon who was felicitated with Amity Academic Excellence Award , outlined the huge gap between the academia and the corporate world and opined that summits like this should be organized on regular basis to upgrade students with the contemporary trends in the industry. He further said that if the youth are trained in a near perfectionist manner like this then very soon India will become an industrial giant.

Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Fouder President, Amity University welcomed the august gathering and extended his gratitude to the HR fraternity for taking Indian economy to unmatched heights. He further pointed out how critical the role of Human Resource Development is in any organization. As an employer if you are able to hire right people with right skills in your company, things start moving in the right direction on their own. In a nutshell, he said that, “A company is as good as its HR Department makes it.”

Dr. Gurinder Singh, Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University and Director General, Amity International Business School gave a programme outline and theme presentation in which he stated that in today’s corporate arena organizations must absorb, manage and integrate change at a much faster rate than in the past. In order to implement successful business strategy to face the challenges an organization must ensure that it has the right people who are capable of delivering the right strategy and ensuring perfection in order to meet the expectations of the fast paced and competent world.
