Amity University Jharkhand’s effort towards Kerela flood relief

Student experience sharing at the event

Amity University Jharkhand, 27/09/2018: Two heroic students of Amity University Jharkhand ‘Danish Mukhtar' and ‘Nishant Bharti' autonomously travelled through different parts of Kerala and helped Flood Victims by donating relief materials and also captured their grief in the form of documentary. Today the documentary was screened in Amity University Jharkhand.

Danish Mukhtar a student of Journalism and mass communication addressed the gathering and shared his experience of the trip and said “Being a student it was difficult for me to donate money but I travelled through different parts of flood hit Kerala tried my best in contributing them to rebuild their strength back “. Nishant Bharti also a student of Journalism said “When I reached Aluva by seeing their destruction I was little afraid, but then we decided to capture their grief though we are not so skilled editors but journalist instincts motivated me to do such things”.

There after, Hon. Vice Chancellor of Amity University Jharkhand Prof.(Dr.)R. K. Jha graced the event and congratulated both the students for their extraordinary and praiseworthy work. It was their hard work which acted as a voice and we witness the pain of Kerala flood hit victims. He added on that the university will reimburse the expenditure of students for such a noble cause.

Registrar of Amity University Jharkhand Mr. P. K Thripathi, saluted the heroic effort of the students and encouraged them to do more good works in future.

The event was a grand success appreciated by all the students and teachers.
