About Amity Lucknow

Amity University Lucknow Campus (AULC) is a constituent unit of Amity University, Uttar Pradesh and it was established in the year 2004 with the sole objective to impart research and innovation driven education in the region.The 40 acre state of the art campus is a fine blend of global education, training and research within academic ambience. With the latest teaching methodologies AULC offers UGC recognized Undergraduate & Post graduate courses in multiple disciplines.It has 17 institutions which cater to 87 programmes having more than 5000 students. The multiple research centers at AULC facilitate research in the diversified areas of Education, Bio Sciences, Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Electronics, Humanities, Management,Social Work and many more areas.

About the conference

As the term "folk" has come to imply various concepts such as tradition, closeness to nature, indigenousness, belonging to a rural knowledge system and organic creation from the heart,folklore encapsulates the world views, beliefs and traditional knowledge systems of communities passed down through the generations in the form of storytelling, songs, totems, traditions, rituals and performance.In rediscovering our roots and in pursuit of a deeper meaning of life, we need study, research and shift towards folklores, folk arts, folk symbols and traditions, to find a meaning to our evolution and existence.

This conference aims to discuss the aforementioned issues and to further build upon them through various critical approaches and multifarious dimensions.
