About the Conference

The twenty first century lifestyle, the complexity of work-life balance, technological changes, lack of quality & diversity of close family interactions, the changing workplace and the ‘new normal’ due to pandemic are all foretelling that more emphasis is required by Higher Educational Institutions on student engagement, wellbeing and holistic development, considering that it is important to equip their students not only with academic knowledge but also with those life skills too that help them handle challenges in life. And to help the students know self, teach them how to build healthy relationships, help develop resilience and learn that experiencing nature, experiencing transcendence and being existent to the activities in the society and its culture are a natural part of life.

Student Engagement, Well Being and Holistic Development are growing academic disciplines related to student participation, involvement, commitment, effort and motivation in out of class activities; in the class activities; research; in university processes such as student representation, student voice, peer support enhancing students’ sense of belonging, student resilience, wellbeing and intellectual, emotional, social, physical, artistic, creative and spiritual development.
