Details of the Program

The Doctoral Studies Programme in Amity College of Commerce of Finance commenced in the year 2014 and aims at training professionals and teachers in the skills and competences related to the systematic investigation of various issues and problems in the area of Accounting & Finance, such as, management of risk, the valuation of financial assets, operations of capital markets, preparation and interpretation of financial and managerial information useful for an understanding of the theory and practice of investment and finance. At this level, the study is expected to provide new and original insights into the problem or the area under investigation. Students admitted in this programme are required to undergo a coursework in the first semester, comprising two core papers (Quantitative Applications in Management and Advanced Research Methodology) and one paper pertaining to their area of research (Economics, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources and International Business). The progress of the students is monitored every six months by the Students’ Research Committee and the Departmental Research Committee. Students are highly encouraged for good quality research through publishing at least one paper in a year in any quality-indexed journal, like Scopus.
