Amity Institute of Information Technology (AIIT) has well organized placement cell, which functions under the guidance of Director, AIIT. Placement cell is actively engaged in finding best suited placement opportunities for students of both UG and PG programme as per their profiles and preferences. Every year more than 350 companies visit Amity University campus for recruitment of Engineering and Technology students.
AIIT has strong alumni base holding important position in top IT companies such as Google, Wipro Technologies, Accenture, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra, NCR Corporation, Fiserv, Fidelity, Grape City, HeadStrong, iGate, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Tata Consultancy Services, Aricent, CSC, SAP Labs, etc.
Companies visit the campus to handpick best students of various programme offered by AIIT such as BCA(Morning & Evening), B.Sc.-IT, Dual(BCA+MCA), MCA and M.Sc.(Network Technology & Management). Each eligible candidate has to go through well defined placement procedure starting with APAT (Amity Placement Aptitude Test) which is the screening process for identification of level and skills of each student before company visit for the placement. Preparation for placement is an integral part of every student learning process during their stay in university.
As we foresee the current market trend of recruiting young IT graduates provides companies not only a cost-effective approach but also gives them opportunity to leverage young and dynamic work-force that is highly energetic with high grasping power. Students opt for specialization courses such as CCNA, Cache & EMC2 Certified etc to enhance their skills and employability. Besides knowledge of IT, they also have knowledge of Management courses like Principle of Marketing, Total Quality Management, Financial Management, Fundamentals Human Resource Management and Fundamentals of production and operations management.
Apart from technical skills, Amity students are also aware of moral and ethical values and are ready to face the challenges of world. Value Added Courses like Behavioral Science, Communication Skills and foreign language is the part of curriculum and offered as mandatory course to each and every student of AIIT. These value added courses aim to inculcate an understanding of importance of attitudes and its effect on work behavior, effective management of emotions and building interpersonal competence.
AIIT regularly organizes Corporate Meets, IT Summit, International Conferences of repute, Cisco Workshops, Seminars, Industry Visits and Guest Lectures to increase the awareness and inculcate an all-round development of students. Industry experts take active participation as a member of different Institutional Bodies involved in curriculum development and review.
