Quiz contest held by Limca Book of Records

Amity International school Sector 46 has been a proud winner of the Quiz contest held by Limca Book Of Records at The Pathways School on the 9th of November. Conducted by famous Quiz master Derek O'Brien, it was a fairly tough contest with almost 25 schools as participants. The team of Sanchit Narain and Vathul BS gave a tough fight to all finally winning the contest and the coveted title.The principal Mrs. Arti Chopra congratulated the students and wished them good luck for their future endeavours as well.



Table-Tennis tournament was organised in AIS- Vasundhra

Inter Amity Table-Tennis tournament was organised in AIS- Vasundhra-1(Gaziabad) on nov 19-20, 2012.

Teams from Delhi zone, Noida zone and Gurgaon zone- NCR.participated in the event.

Amity International School Sec-46, Gurgaon beat AIS Mayur Vihar in the semi finals by 3-2.

In the final match Amity International School Sec-46, Gurgaon beat the host team in a great fight and won the decider match in double 3-2.

Team members Laksshay vohra, Sagar Pandita,Devgun,Hritwik Bhaumik,Samyak Jain played with a great enthusiasm under the able guidance of their coach Mukesh Sharma.



Rangoli Competition

As an adjunct to the festive season, AIS-46, Gurgaon celebrated it by organizing an Inter-house Rangoli making competition on 21st Nov.2012 for the students of classes IX-XI. As always, the students from the 4 houses: Alaknanda, Bhagirathi, Pawani and Mandakini participated with great enthusiasm.

The competition was a colourful and a joyous event. The students came together as one and put in all their efforts to make beautiful rangolis that touched everybody's hearts, giving them warmth and happiness. The students used a combination of rangoli colours, diyas, glitters, dyed rice, saw dust, common salt and even crystallized salt as raw material.

Mandakini house bagged the 1st position with a beautiful presentation of a peacock.The enthusiasm of the participants made the event a great success and the school was brightened up with their rangolis.



FOUNDER'S DAY CELEBRATIONS

The birthday of Dr.Chauhan was celebrated with a lot of gaiety in Amity International School, Sector 46 on Nov., 7 2012. Dr. Amita Chauhan graced the occasion accompanied by Mr. D.P.S. Chauhan and Mrs. Jayashree.

The beginning of the celebration started with a heartfelt invocation to Goddess Saraswati followed by a warm welcome by the Principal, Mrs. Arti Chopra. Sur Tarang, a musical instrument presentation , especially the percussion instruments , was performed by the children of classes 3-5. It was followed by a beautiful movie dedicated to the Founder President Sir. A nukkad natak, Chunauti,dealing with the eradication of the evil of terrorism was put up by the children of classes 6-8.

All the top achievers of classes 5-12 were awarded in a prize distribution ceremony followed by blessings by Hon?ble Chairperson Ma?am. Taking a cue from the video footage of the Founder President, she urged the students to chart the right path of life and work honestly and fearlessly to achieve their goals.

The function was short and crisp yet warm and welcoming. The function which started at 12;30 p.m. ended at 1;45 p.m. with the school song and the national anthem.
