The school bagged 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze at the Asia Pacific Conference for Young Scientists (APCYS 2016). The 5th edition of the conference organised from July 14-16, 2016 for students of Class VI to XII was hosted in India for the first time at Amity University Manesar campus. Satyam Nangia (VIII) & Archit Bansal (XI) won Gold medal for best poster presentation and Bronze for best oral presentation for their project ‘Novel instrument for electricity generation from railway tracks’. Shubham Ghoshal and Shreyans Jain of Class XI won Silver medal in oral presentation for their project ‘Alternative digital clock based on number theory …1 minute’. Ishaan Garg (Class XI) bagged Bronze medal in best poster presentation for their project ‘Dual purpose device to disable an emergency message transmitter’

The conference saw some of the best minds and scientific talents from more than 20 countries across the Asia and Pacific showcase research by students in the area of Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Environmental Science and Life Sciences. Out 40 projects presented from India, 24 projects belonged to Amity Group of Schools. The Asia Pacific Conference of Young Scientists (APCYS) is the Asian chapter of the globally renowned Centre for Young Scientists (CYS) and has played crucial role in exposing young students to International Science standards.
