Winners at the KWHS Investment Competition, 2019 at Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, U.S.A.

Surpassing its past legacy, team “Filter Coffee Investments” from Amity International School, Noida from India secured the 1st position with cash prize of $ 5,000 at the Global Finale of the very prestigious KWHS Investment Competition, 2019 held at the renowned Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, U.S.A., on 4th May, 2019. Amity International School, Noida, was also the 1st position holder in the Region -2 (South Asia and Middle East Region) of this Competition. Another team from Amity International School, Vasundhara-6, New Delhi also made it to the Global Finale, which is no mean feat. Two Amity teams at the Finale speak volumes about the learning imparted at Amity Institutions.

Chauhan and the Chairperson RBEF & Amity Schools, Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, which has inspired the students and faculty of Amity International School, Noida towards this spectacular achievement. This prestigious international contest, organized by the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, U.S.A., stretches for around seven months and puts high school students in the shoes of global investment experts. This year , this competition was organized in three regions, Region – 1 (includes, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, Taiwan, North Korea, South Korea, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan), Region -2 (includes, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste, Vietnam, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Cyprus, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.) and Region – 3 (includes, Countries and regions from the Americas, Europe, Africa and Oceania).

More than 2,500 teams participated in each of the regions. The team “Filter Coffee Investments” was declared 1st among the 9 Global finalist teams from all the three regions of this prestigious competition. The team had put in dedicated zeal and efforts with only one objective – to make INDIA proud. It was their immense love and sense of respect for the country which kept them motivated and positively competitive till the end. Vibrant smiles on the victorious faces displayed the true Amity spirit of taking INDIA to splendid heights of success in the world.

Eklavya Jagal of Class VI finished sixth in the Southeast Asian Short Track Skating trophy - 2019 in Junior D category (under 13 age group) held at Singapore. Eklavya competed with top skaters from countries like: Thailand, Singapore, Indonasia, Australia, Taipai, Malaysia, Hong kong, Philippines and USA.

CBSE North Zone Tennis Championship

Date: October 8-10, 2018
Shaurya Pratap Sinha (XII); Deepanshu Varshney & Anish (XI) and Arijit Kumar (X) won silver medal in under -19 boys category at CBSE North Zone Tennis Championship. A total of 124 school teams had participated in the tournament and these students bagged the victory playing against all.

CBSE North Zone-1 Chess championship 2018

Date: October 2-6, 2018
Chess players of the school participated in CBSE North Zone CBSE North Zone 1 Chess championship, and won 7 out of 12 accolades. Under 11 (girls) team won the overall Championship; under 11 (boys) team secured second position and under 17 (girls) team became the reigning champions. The teams also created another record by winning the maximum number of Board prizes and category wise the best player award. These chess champions will now represent CBSE North Zone 1 in the forthcoming National Chess championship.

38th Delhi State Archery Championship

Date: April 13 – 17, 2018
Dhruv Bagga, a Class X student of the school won 5 medals (3 gold , 1 silver and 1 bronze) under recurve category in 38th Delhi State Archery Championship organized by Delhi Archery Association. In the U-14 category he got gold in Ranking round and bronze in Olympic round. In the U-17 category he got gold in Ranking round and silver in Olympic round and U-19 he earned gold in Olympic round.

Anika Tyagi of Class II H secured first position in the 2nd Holi Cup Lakecity Open Fide Rating Chess Tournament held from March 29-April 1 2018 at Udaipur. She also stood second in the Delhi State Under-7 Girls Chess Championship held on April 7-8, 2018 in Delhi.

IGU Western India Juniors Golf Champ

Sukhman Singh, Class VI student, bagged first position in the IGU YES BANK Western India Junior Boys Golf Championship played at Kalhaar Blues & Greens, Ahmedabad from April 9-13, 2018. He also won second position in the IGU YES BANK Maharashtra Junior Boys Golf Championship held at Oxford Golf Country Club Pune from April 16 - 20, 2018.

Delhi State Inter School Chess Championship

Date:April 5 and 6, 2018
The school won Best School award at the recently concluded Delhi State Inter School Chess Championship organised by Delhi Chess Association. Team U-10 comprising Shaurya Sisodia (4 A), Rishit Singh (5 G), Tanish Mittal (5 J), Aaran Ghonge (5 K) and Priya Agrawal (5 M) secured second position. Team U-10 comprising Arnav Tiwari (9 N), Deepanshu Khemka (10 F), Gursimar Singh Arneja (10 F), WIM Vantika Agrawal (10 H) and Hriday Goel (10 L) were the Undefeated Champions. Twelve teams comprising 55 participants took part in the competition.

The Indian Golf Union Nationals

Date:November 27- December 1, 2017
Sukhman Singh of Class VI came second in the prestigious The Indian Golf Union (IGU) All India Juniors (Nationals) in C category (11-13 years) held at Mumbai. He is now ranked 2nd in all India in C category for 2017 season. During the course of the year 2017, Sukhman Singh won the IGU Rajasthan Juniors in Jaipur and secured a second position. He was in top 5 positions in the 7 tournaments held in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Greater Noida respectively.

CBSE Chess Tournament

Date: October 4-7, 2017
The students from school participated in the Chess Tournament in three categories: under-17, under- 14 and under- 11. The tournament was organised by CBSE at Indirapuram Public School, Ghaziabad and saw a participation of players from over 53 schools from the north zone. The students of under-17 category emerged second in the tournament, while the under-14 girls bagged the second position and under-11 girls became the champions.

Ayush Bajaj of Class IX won a Gold medal in Under-14 North West Delhi Open Fencing Championship organised by Fencing Federation of India held in Delhi. Ayush began fencing at the age of 12 and has won more than 15 competitions, one of them being the Under-20 National Fencing Championship held in Manipur. Eklavya Jagal, student of class IV, AIS Noida participated in 12th National Ice Skating Championship held in Gulmarg- Jammu & Kashmir from December 30, 2016 till January 3, 2016. He won a silver medal under Novice Boys category 500 meter short track speed skating competition.

Shreya Pasricha an AIS Noida alumnus is a rising international tennis star from India who has scaled new heights overseas.   Abhinav Sharma won Bronze medals at the 16th All India Interschool Shooting Championship held at Pune and at the 15th UP State Interschool Shooting Championship, held at Banda. He also participated in the 57th National Shooting Championship held in Delhi.

  Harshit Chauhan won a Bronze medal at the 16th All India Interschool Shooting Championship held at Pune and a Silver medal at the17th All India Interschool Shooting Championship at Banda.


Skating Champs

  Shivansh won a Silver medal at the 3rd Invitational Inter-school Roller Skating Championship Hockey and Bronze medals in the 4th Noida Open Roller Skating Championship Hockey in the 5th District Open Roller Skating Championship Hockey. He also won Gold medal in the Inter-school Speed Championship; at the 51st Roller Skating Championship RSFI.

  Nandini started skating at the tender age of five and has participated in a number of skating championships. She won a Bronze medal in the Road Race and stood 2nd in the Rink Race in 2013.

  Tanmay Raj Sisodia won a Silver Medals at various events -in the 4th Noida Open Roller Skating Championship, CBSE East Zone Cluster, DPSG International School .He also qualified for the Nationals. He bagged a Gold medal in the East Delhi Inter-School Championship 2013 in Rink-Race (300mt) Inline.

  Aanya Gupta, age 7, won Gold Medals at the 3rd Invitational Roller Skating Championships (500&300mts). She has also won Silver medals at the 4th Noida Open Roller Skating Championships and at Sports Races in Delhi in 2013.

  • In 2013 she participated and won 2 Gold medals in 51st RFSI Speed Championship (under 12) Nationals.

  Shrey was honoured by the District Magistrate, Gautam Budh Nagar in a special event organised for Medal Winning Players by the District Sports Officer, Gautam Budh Nagar in 2012 for her achievements in roller skating.

  Vantika Agrawal Agrawal a student of class 7 came in spot light during 2011 when she qualified for Asian School's chess championship and won Gold Medal for India in Under 10 Girls Category. She has also represented India in World Youth Chess Championship in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

Recently she won silver medal in National under 13 Girls Chess Championship. She also represented India in Asian Youth Chess Championship held in New Delhi in Nov 2014.

  Vishesh Agrawal has an International FIDE Rating of 1562 Points. He participated in the 12th Parsvnath Delhi Open International Chess Tournament, 2014 and in Gurgaon Open International Chess Tournament 2014.
