International Press (IP)

The International Press (IP) in Model United Nations (MUNs) is a vital entity that serves as the communication bridge between the UN and the public. Established in 1948, the IP is composed of news agencies and broadcasters who have the freedom to inform and discuss events happening within the UN. The IP plays a multifaceted role. It serves as an adaptable and meaningful means of communication connecting the world with its residents. It promotes awareness and enlightens the human mind about the reality and authenticity of global events. It also acts as a watchdog, keeping decision-makers in check and holding them accountable for their actions. The IP comprises journalists, photographers, and caricaturists, each playing a unique role. Journalists are responsible for covering the proceedings of the MUN conference, writing articles, conducting interviews, and providing in-depth analysis of the events. They play a crucial role in shaping public opinion and holding power to account. Photographers capture the essence of the conference through their lenses. They document the proceedings, the interactions, and the emotions, that act as a visual narrative complimenting the coverage done by the journalists. Caricaturists, on the other hand, use their artistic skills to create satirical illustrations that provide a humorous and critical perspective on the events. Their work often serves to highlight the absurdities or contradictions in the proceedings, providing a unique form of commentary. The IP is committed to maintaining its impartiality. It adheres to a strict code of ethics that ensures its reporting is unbiased, accurate, and fair. It does not favor any group or individual and strives to provide perspectives from all angles for the given issue impartiality, making it a reliable and trusted source of information. Ms. Zeba Hussain is a final year student at Amity University Haryana pursuing her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology. She had been a part of organising AMIMUN during her Bachelors degree. Zeba is in the Delhi MUN circuit since 2016, actively handling various roles as a press corps member, delegate, Executive Board member and even in the organisation of conferences. Zeba has worked as a freelance content writer and is an enthusiast of writing and producing raw and creative quality content of social humanitarian events happening across globe. She has a fluent foothold in writing various styles of articles along with a commamd on 5 languages. Along with her education, Zeba works as a Psychological Case Manager at the Autism Centre for Excellence.

Manit Singh Kohli , a graduate from S.G.T.B Khalsa College , University of Delhi , also a passionate photographer . Photography has been a part of my life for seven years now . Passion for getting into art and seeing things from a totally different perspective that's what Photography taught me . In pursuance of my passion , I was the President of Pinhole - The Photography Society of S.G.T.B. Khalsa College , served as Head Of Photography at many Model United Nations (MUNs) , worked for the Government Of Punjab in promotion of women based Self-Help Group (SHG) , covered some big events and done photo-shoots for known cafés .
