Amity School of Fine Arts (ASFA) under “Faculty of Fine Arts/Performing Arts/Visual Arts/Applied Arts”, have organized KREATIV ’23 ( 27th – 29th March 2023)

KREATIV ‘23 is an annual event comprising of “Annual Display of Artwork” by the students of ASFA (Painting, Applied Art, Animation & Visual Communication Programme), “Design Collection Presentation” by the students of ASFT and a performance by the students of ASPA. The event has been organized with the aim to showcase the talent and original creative ideas of budding professionals of Art & Design field.

Speaking on the occasion, Guest of Honour, Shri Johny ML, Indian Art Critic, Writer, Curator and Translator, said, “With a huge population of 1.35 billion people, India needs massive creative talent who can create a new India through various art forms. As an artist grows, his creativity also grows and gradually, from imitating nature, they become artists who create original works originating from their minds. Technology such as AI and Chat GPT has made life easier, however, there is no substitute for human touch which is missing in the world of technology. Amity students are very bright, creative and well aware of world-renowned artists who can inspire and motivate them to do some great work to create a new India.”

Encouraging the students of Amity, Mrs. Divya Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Arts Foundation, said, “Amity has always encouraged its students to showcase their talent and creativity in every field and the exhibition will provide them with the right platform to nurture their talent. Students have put their best efforts in organizing the exhibition and we are very excited to see the great creative artworks by the students of Amity.”

Sharing the mantras for becoming a successful artist, Mr. Vinay Vikram Singh, Co-Founder, Twinbrains, stated, “Observation, dedication and adhering to timelines can truly enable the students to become great artists. Artists talk to the masses through colors, lines and compositions and therefore, their artworks must influence and attract the masses.”

Also present on the occasion were Dr. Pradeep Joshi, Group Additional Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Mrs. Ridhima Chauhan and Mrs. Mehtab Chauhan.

During the three-day programme, 450 paintings and installations, Pop Art, Abstract Art, Animation 2D and Visual Animation Display by the Undergraduate and Post Graduate Students of Amity School of Fine Arts, was showcased

KREATIV 19

KREATIV ‘19 is an Annual Event comprising “Annual Display of Artwork” of Students of ASFA (Painting, Applied Art, Animation & Visual Communication Programmes) & “Talk Show” with eminent Artist. The event showcase talent and original ideas of budding professionals of Art & Design field.
Ms. Divya Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity School of Fine Arts and Amity School of Fashion Technology said that arts is an offbeat course and therefore all the students who have their interest in this field must identify their skill, and keep practicing the art form to enhance their creative faculty. She informed that Amity University is planning include a course on Museum study in the near future.  
Shri Ranbir Kaleka, Former Principal, College of Arts, Delhi and Renowned Senior Artist said that, an artist is always in a dilemma of what can he create of the art that he or she has learnt over the years. He exclaimed that “Art is expressed with absolute honesty” and no matter what you create, it must give you self-satisfaction. He advised that as an artist, you must not only welcome appreciation but also be open to criticisms and take them on a positive note. He asserted that learning is a never-ending process and suggested the budding artists to not only learn from their experiences but also from others.
Shri S.N Lahiri, Ex-Principal, College Art, Delhi and Senior Artist averred that Sensitivity and Conviction are the two noticeable things in the work of an artist. He remarked that “an artist’s works are like visual melodies that echoes through bright colors.” He exclaimed that arts is a subject which is beyond our imagination and has no boundaries and therefore, there is great potential for artists to make new explorations in this field.
Shri Krishan Ahuja, Ex-Professor, College of Arts, Delhi and Senior Artist suggested the students that “there are multiple techniques available for graphic designing, but you must always try to make sketches on your own for better creativity.” He insisted on establishment of a Sculpture designing wing at Amity. He called upon the students to respect every form of art and be honest with the profession by keeping the authenticity of the artwork intact”.
During the event, Students from ASFT and ASFA presented their works in art and design on various themes such as Pampering and Beautification, Imperfectly positive, Indian Miniature paintings, etc. in an exhibition showcasing their talent.
The second day of KREATIV’ 19 witnessed a talk show with Dr. Blossom Kochhar, Renowned Beauty Expert, in which she discussed about the importance of Personal grooming and Personality development with the students of Amity School of Fashion Technology (ASFT) and Amity School of Fine Arts (ASFA). Addressing the students, she apprised that our physical appearance plays a crucial role in creating our first impression. She exclaimed that “Beauty is holistic, and it has a lot to do with the body, mind and soul.”
She talked about the various methods and cosmetics which men and women could use to look smart and leave a lasting impression. She stressed on the need for putting up a good posture by demonstrating the students how to walk and sit during formal and informal occasions. She informed that apart from external application of cosmetics, we need to bring in some major changes in our daily routines to improve our lifestyles like – Exercising, drinking lots of water and taking good night sleep.

Budding Artists display their Artistic Excellence during Art Exhibition in Amity University

To showcase the creative work of budding artists, Amity School of Fine Arts organized an Art Camp and Exhibition as part of Kreativ’ 2018 at University Campus, Sector 125 Noida.

Welcoming the distinguished gathering Mrs. Divya Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity School of Fine Arts said that Kreativ is an annual event which provides a platform to the budding artists to present their creativity along with an interface with the industry experts who guide the students to further hone their talents. She mentioned that this art exhibition is in its 10th edition and has been upscaling every year. She stressed that Amity believes in promoting the work of students at every possible platform and encouraged them to present more viable and commercial work.

Addressing the gathering, Padmashree Prof Biman Das, Indian Sculptor and former Principal of the Government College of Art & Craft, Kolkata encouraged the students to research as much as possible for bringing aesthetical excellence in artwork. He opined that an artist should be a judge of his own work since praising the art is instinctive and natural.

Sharing his views, Mr Diego Alonso, Owner, Mondo Galeria, Spain remarked that globalization has created new modes of cross-cultural art between east and west. He shared that in last century, Indian influence has been evidently visible in western artwork. Mr. Diego apprised that exposure to cross-culture has provided an opportunity to artists to create a new language of communication through different forms of art. He urged the budding artists to push their boundaries of creativity and called upon them to find new ways to develop art with amalgamation of east and west.

Speaking during the occasion, Mr. Bhushan Verma, ‎Founder and C.E.O - ‎GearCraftSolutionsemphasized that every artist is a sensitive person by heart which is reflected in his or her work. He suggested that artists should never lose their sensitivity as it is the inherited beauty of an artist. Mr. Verma advised the budding artists to respect each and every stroke and line that they create and every work of art is an opportunity for growth.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Niren Sengupta said that it is important for an artist to be thoughtful of the work one is doing. He averred that being creative is a difficult task as it requires a person to conceptualize an idea and then bring it in form of real art. Focusing on Art as a potent medium to express social messages, he encouraged students to completely express their creativity and let it flow freely so that they can truly come up with masterpieces of art.

Mr Kashmiri Khosa, eminent Artist highlighted that initially, artists take inspiration from outside world for their art work but after years of hard work, a true artists develops the knack of finding creative inspiration from within. He expressed his delight over Art getting recognition as other professional courses.

Presenting a brief about his installation, Student Sitikanta Samantsinghar, Masters of Fine Arts, 4th Years explained that his creation representing struggle for survival of Odisha farmers. Through his art work he has showcased the loss of crops, uprising of farmers’ protests and suicide of farmers due to lack of help.

Explaining her creation ‘Old is not Outdates’, Student Ayushi Bansal, Masters of Fine Arts, 4th Year said that she chose bicycle as primary material for her art work since she wants to bridge the gap between different age group, gap and most importantly gender by covering bicycle with wool. She further added that the vibrant colors of the wools represents the feelings and emotions of people.

During the three day exhibition, a wide array of artworks including paintings (Landscape Paintings, Portrait, Life Drawings, Figurative Paintings, Abstract Paintings, Pencil Sketching),Sculptures, Installations, Print Advertisements, Digital Art, Animation, Photography, Typography, Graphic Design and 3 D Animation of more than 400 Undergraduate and Master students of various programmes under Amity School of Fine Arts are on display.

Kreativ 17, Annual Art Exhibition of Amity School of Fine Arts(ASFA) ) showcased the selected works of artist from various streams of Animation, Applied Arts and Painting and Visual Communication. Kreativ-17 was between 21st to 23rd March 2017. Exhibition witnessed installations/ art works animation videos etc.
Renowned Artists -Mr. Niren Sengupta, inaugurated Kreativ 17. Prof (Dr) Pradeep Joshi, Director General ASFA, ASFT, ASPA gave his opening remarks followed by welcoming the distinguished gathering by Mrs.Divya Chauhan, Chairperson (ASFA, ASFT & ASPA) and dwelling on the aim of "Kreativ 17’.

Mrs Chauhan said that Kreativ provides a platform to the budding artists to present their creativity along with an interface with the industry experts who guide the students to further hone their talents. She mentioned that Amity believes in promoting the young talent and this year Amity organized an art exhibition by students of ASFA in India Art Fair and their works were well appreciated by the art connoisseurs. She thanked the guests for their gracious presence and said ‘‘students eagerly wait for the annual exhibition wherein they reveal their artsy best to the veterans of Art and Culture through their works.”

Later an interesting and interactive Game was hosted by Shri Thukral & Tagra based on “Good Karmas and Bad Karmas”, trying to make students understand the fundamentals of life with ultimate goal to reach enlightenment
