Amity Insurance Cricket Cup was conceptualized to provide a platform to the insurance companies to forge camaraderie among them in a non – officious environment and to support the underprivileged girl child, under project AMITASHA: An Encouraging Icon for the Underprivileged girls. In the year 2010, ASIAS launched a new program in MBA (Insurance & Banking) and to imbibe this change, the nomenclature of the institute has been changed to Amity Insurance, Banking and Actuarial Science (ASIBAS). In the 10th Insurance Cup Tournament Banking Sector, Brokers, IT , Insurance & Actuarial Consultants were also invited in the tournament.
Amity Insurance Cricket Cup Tournament – 2017-18 to support the underprivileged girl child, under project AMITASHA: An Encouraging Icon for the Underprivileged girls. The Cup is dedicated to support the Foundation’s NGO arm, “AMITASHA”, the institution which was founded under the visionary leadership of Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson AMITASHA and Amity International Schools. Amitasha is working for the education and up-liftment of ‘girl child’ belonging to the underprivileged sections of the society. This movement of the foundation and up-liftment of the girl child has now taken firm roots with additional centers. At Present over 1200 girls are being provided free education, uniform, food, books etc under the project.
A nominal fees was fixed from the participating companies which is contributed for the noble cause of upliftment and education of the “girls child” from disadvantaged section of the society through our NGO arm “Amitasha”. A small beginning made in the year 2002, Amity Insurance Cricket Cup, has completed its successful journey of Sixteen years in 2017-2018 and the journey continues.
