The National Conclave on Law, Gender, and Society, hosted by Amity Law School, Amity University Bengaluru, on September 19, 2025, is a premier academic gathering that seeks to explore the critical intersections of legal discourse, gender justice, and societal transformation in the 21st century. As global and national conversations on equality, identity, and human rights evolve amidst rapid socio-political and technological changes, this conclave offers a vital platform for scholarly engagement, policy dialogue, and interdisciplinary reflection.
The conclave aspires to bring together a diverse cross-section of stakeholders including jurists, gender rights advocates, legal practitioners, policy-makers, academics, research scholars, and students to deliberate on the structural, cultural, and legal challenges surrounding gender, law and society. The event is designed to provoke critical thought and foster constructive discussions on how law shapes, reinforces, or challenges gendered experiences across diverse social contexts.
This conclave encourages contributions that are both scholarly and socially impactful, challenging existing paradigms and proposing actionable ideas. Through its Call for Papers, the event invites interdisciplinary and practice-oriented submissions that highlight field experiences, policy critiques, and legal innovations addressing gender-related issues.
Participants are invited to submit original and unpublished research papers that align with the central theme “Law, Gender, and Society”. Submissions may explore theoretical, empirical, doctrinal, or policy-based approaches and must demonstrate academic rigor, originality, and relevance.
Submissions outside the above list that resonate with the central theme are equally welcome.
All interested participants must submit an abstract before submitting their full papers. The abstract should clearly articulate the research problem, objectives, methodology, and key findings or arguments. Only original abstracts that align with the conference theme will be accepted.
