The National Conclave on Law, Gender, and Society, hosted by Amity Law School, Amity University Bengaluru, on September 19, 2025, is a premier academic gathering that seeks to explore the critical intersections of legal discourse, gender justice, and societal transformation in the 21st century. As global and national conversations on equality, identity, and human rights evolve amidst rapid socio-political and technological changes, this conclave offers a vital platform for scholarly engagement, policy dialogue, and interdisciplinary reflection.

The conclave aspires to bring together a diverse cross-section of stakeholders including jurists, gender rights advocates, legal practitioners, policy-makers, academics, research scholars, and students to deliberate on the structural, cultural, and legal challenges surrounding gender, law and society. The event is designed to provoke critical thought and foster constructive discussions on how law shapes, reinforces, or challenges gendered experiences across diverse social contexts.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

All interested participants must submit an abstract before submitting their full papers. The abstract should clearly articulate the research problem, objectives, methodology, and key findings or arguments. Only original abstracts that align with the conference theme will be accepted.

  • Each applicant must submit a 300-word extended abstract providing an overview of the proposed paper on the attached Google Form.
  • The abstract must be submitted in MS Word (.doc or .docx) format only.
  • Each abstract must contain a cover page inclusive of the following details:
    1. Name(s) of the author(s)
    2. Designation
    3. Institutional affiliation
    4. Contact number(s) of the author(s)
    5. Email ID
  • A maximum of 5 keywords are to be provided along with the abstract.

Additional Guidelines

  • Co-authorship is permitted (maximum of 2 authors).
  • Plagiarism in any form and use of AI is strictly prohibited, and would render the submission disqualified.
  • All references must be duly cited and a similarity index and AI of up to 10% is permissible.
  • Acceptance of abstracts shall be communicated via the above-mentioned email only.
  • The complete paper should consist of a word count ranging from 4,000 to 5,000 words.
  • There is no separate fees for the authors who shall be invited to present their papers physically at Amity University, Bengaluru upon acceptance of their full paper.
  • Kindly note that the registration fee shall be non-refundable subsequent to the completion of payment.

Top Authors selected through a blind peer-review process will get the opportunity to present their papers at the conclave at Amity University Bengaluru before a distinguished audience of jurists, academics, and legal professionals.

Dual Publication

  • Top Selected Papers from Each Category selected by Expert Review Panel, shall be published in a Book with ISBN.
  • Other Papers shall be published with a Double-Blind Peer-Reviewed International Law Journal with ISSN.
