Celebration of Vigilance Awareness Week, 2025

 Nukkad Natak Event during Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 Theme: “Vigilance: A Collective Responsibility” Date: 30th October 2025 Venue: Foyer, Block D, 11:00 a.m. onwards Organized by: Amity Institute of Social Sciences (AISS) and Amity School of Languages (ASL)

Amity Institute of Social Sciences (AISS) and Amity School of Languages (ASL), successfully organized a Nukkad Natak (Street Play) on “Vigilance: A Collective Responsibility” as part of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 celebrations. The event was conducted on 30th October 2025 at the Foyer, Block D, from 11:00 a.m. onwards, to honor the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, and to promote the values of honesty, unity, and ethical conduct among students.
 
The programme commenced with an introduction to the purpose of Vigilance Awareness Week and its relevance in building a transparent and accountable society. Four student groups participated enthusiastically, each presenting thought-provoking performances centered on distinct sub-themes
1. Greed vs. Need: The Price of Corruption
2. United We Rise, Divided We Fall
3. From Fear to Freedom: Standing Strong Against Terrorism
4. Breaking Barriers: Humanity Above Hatred
 
The plays used a dynamic combination of satire, symbolic acts, slogans, and audience interaction to deliver impactful messages. The first group highlighted the everyday struggles of common citizens, while the second focused on youth activism and moral awakening. The third team emphasized the role of transparency in governance, and the final act depicted the transformation of individuals choosing honesty over convenience.
 
The judges for the event were Associate Professor Dr Rajeev Dwivedi, Deputy Dean Student Welfare and Campus Life and Assistant Professor Dr Pranav Mishra.
Each performance concluded with thought-provoking dialogues and slogans urging citizens to say to uphold ethical practices. The enthusiastic participation of students and faculty, along with the audience’s interactive involvement, made the event lively and impactful. It successfully met its objectives by sensitizing the public about the consequences of corruption, motivating youth to take ethical stands, and fostering collective responsibility toward a transparent society.
 
The event concluded with words of appreciation from the judges, followed by the distribution of certificates of participation to acknowledge the creative efforts and contributions of all participants.
 
The Nukkad Natak competition successfully met its objectives of promoting ethical awareness, collective responsibility, and unity among students. It served as a meaningful platform for experiential learning and civic engagement, aligning with the vision of “Vigilant India, Prosperous India.”
