The third and the final day of INBUSH - 2019 witnessed some historical and momentous events which would widen the horizons of Amity University in the long-run. During the valedictory session of INBUSH – 2019 several eminent personalities from India and abroad including Switzerland, Australia, U.K etc.

 

Discussions and deliberations were made on the theme of the INBUSH – “Honoring the past, treasuring the present and shaping the future.” During the valedictory session, several leaders from discrete domains talked about the qualities which an ideal leader must possess and the values which they must abide by in any circumstance.

 

Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity University promulgated that it was a historical event for Amity University and would take it to newer heights. Addressing the students, he said that every big person has some exceptional traits and characteristics and you all must try to imbibe it in yourselves. He expressed that he has firm faith in his organization and that Amitians are going to be the future leaders of the world.

 

Talking about leadership, Mr. Prabhu Chawla, Editorial Director, New Indian Express, said that a leader must always try to create a better future and produce such leaders who are even better than himself. He should be an ‘epitome of inspiration’ and to think about the welfare of the people whom he his leading should be his dharma. He exclaimed that the prime concern of a leader should be to unite people and develop consensus among them. Glorifying India he expressed, “India believes in creating values and not valuation.” He said that the approach of leaders throughout history might differ but their principles of leading remain the same.

 

Prof. Robert Evans, Dean International for the Faculty of Business and Law and Director of the Asia Business Centre at Curtin University said that the leaders must have the ability to motivate and inspire people. He should ensure that there is harmony in his organization and there is job satisfaction among his men. Above anything else a leader should be self-sacrificing when need be. The ability to select right people and then develop them into future leaders, is what defines a leader. Concluding his speech, he exclaimed, “If you provide a definite vision and good values to your organization, it will undoubtedly grow by leaps and bounds.”

 

 Prof. Kerri Lee Krause - Deputy Vice Chancellor [Academic] La Trobe University Australia and Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University, Rajasthan, Additional President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation CEO, Amity Capital Ventures also lent valuable pieces of advice to the budding leaders of Amity University.

 

Amity Global Academic Excellence Award was conferred upon Prof. Dr. Peter L.H. Van den Bossche, Director of Studies, World Trade Institute, University of Bern, Switzerland Amity Academic Excellence Awards were handed over to Mr. Francis Raisin, Designer & Teacher; Dr. Mahital Jamwal, Head & Sr. Scientist, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Jammu. Amity Corporate Excellence Award in Technology Implementation was conferred to Mr. Shubham Chatterji, Head – Education and Academics (India), SAS India.

 

Amity Media Excellence Award were conferred upon Mr. Prabhu Chawla, Editorial Director, New Indian Express and Mr. Harvir Singh, Editor-in-Chief, Outlook Hindi. Amity Excellence Award for Best Practices in "Innovation & Research was bagged by Dr. H. Purushotham, Chairman & Managing Director, National Research Development Corporation

 

Amity Corporate Excellence Award For Young Entrepreneur was given to Ms. Preksha Kaparwan, Co-Founder & CMO- Real Box Data Analytics Pvt. Ltd Amity Corporate Excellence Award for Financial Services was conferred upon Mr. Jyoti Prakash Gadia, CEO & MD, Resurgent India Ltd. Amity Excellence Award was given to Padmashree Malini Awasthi, Chair Professor (Banaras Hindu University)  

 

On this occasion, a book based on International trade summit named Disruption in Globalization: Opportunities and Challenges (Conference Proceedings of IB Summit)” along with several journals, was released by the guests. Another book named “Pebbles” by Dr. Nitin Arora was also released on the occasion.

 

 

Amity University also signed Mou’s with University of Adelaide, University of North Texas and WTI, University of Bern, Switzerland.
