Networking and Information Security in Banks (Industrial Visit) for Students of Amity University Jharkhand.

Industrial Visit Bridge the gap between classroom theoretical training and practical learning in a real-life environment. The aim of industrial visit was to make students aware about robust Networking System prevalent in the Banks and how security levels are well defined and proper monitoring is being done on real time basis.

To make students to know the some basics of Banking Software and how their integration helps banks to perform various financial transactions successfully. Data Craft Engineer delivered brief details of Networking Equipments and live demonstrations were also carried out. The students also did some hand on experience all about data cabling and its associated networking accessories. They have seen live working of switches, hub, routers and modems along with protocols. They were made aware all about its functionality and precautions  during data transmission. They were also properly demonstrated some digital machines working in the Banks like Online Token System, Digital Signature and Cheque Scanner and  Cheque Truncation System.

The Department of Computer Application thrives to enrich the learning experience of the students through practical exposure in Industrial Training, industrial visit and excursion. This industrial visit has given the students an opportunity to learn things practically in a real-time functional environment through interactions, witnessing the working methods and clarifying their doubts with experienced officials. With an aim to go beyond academics, Dr.Soni Sweta with full support of Amity University, Jharkhand, Ranchi had arranged these visits to develop the insights of the students attaining practical knowledge and their theoretical applications thereof. They understood all about Networking System and made aware all about security features in Banks. They enjoyed the trip and asked some valuable questions during visit to learn and update knowledge. They also expressed their desire to work with banks. The AGM and Branch Head discussed about various opportunities in Banks and what skills and knowledge are required to work as IT Officer in Banks. The visit was highly successful. We are looking forward some good result out of this industrial visit.
