Havan ceremony

 

Amity University welcomed the fresher batch of management students for the class of  2019-2021 on 17th July 2019. The orientation programme commenced with the auspicious Havan ceremony attended by all newly-admitted students of MBA programmes of various institutions including ABS, AIBS, CII School of Logistics, ASET, RICS, ASIBAS, ASFT amongst others including the parents.

Addressing the students, Prof. (Dr) Gurinder Singh, Group Pro Vice-Chancellor, Amity University said that “Your parents have sacrificed a lot to send you in one of the finest universities of India and they look up to you, thus it becomes your prime responsibility to meet their expectations and be successful in life.” He averred that Amity, over the years, has earned several accolades and the students are expected to deliver fine performance which would keep up the name of their institutes and the university. He apprised that Amity University provides a plethora of opportunities to each of its students to study abroad and gain foreign experiences through internships and SAP which would help them in building a successful career.

Dr. Sanjeev Bansal, Dean, FMS and Director, ABS also welcomed the students and parents to the university and wished all the 1280 students luck, for their future ventures and encouraged them to contribute to the universities through innovation, passion and enthusiasm.

The three-day orientation programme will also focus on several sessions including - Fostering Amity Identity & develop appreciation for Amity Journey & Tradition; Session on Amity Scholarships, Hostel, Anti Ragging, Discipline & Code of Conduct; an online proficiency test; an ice breaking session
