 Amity University Jharkhand Concludes the 3-day Workshop on ‘Faculty Academic Enhancement’

Amity University Jharkhand concluded the three-day workshop on “Faculty Academic Enhancement”on 13th July 2019. The program began with the felicitation of the guests and lighting the lamp of knowledge. Honorable Vice-Chancellor Prof (Dr).Raman Kumar Jha and Registrar Mr.Prabhakar Tripathi welcomed the guest speakers Prof (Dr) B.P Sinha, Dean, School of Languages, Central University Jharkhand, Prof. (Dr). Manoj Kumar Associate Professor, Central University Jharkhand and Prof (Dr) Rishi Raj, Asst.Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Patna. Vice-Chancellor Prof (Dr.) Raman Kumar Jha said “The world is moving fast and if you do not move faster you will be left behind. He encouraged the faculty members to invest the knowledge gained in this workshop into meaningful research.” In his address to the audience Dr. B.P Sinha, Dean, School of Languages, Central University Jharkhand was successful in creating a literary atmosphere in the seminar hall where several issues relating to life and literature could thrive. Through his discussions he made us aware of the nitty-gritty of Proposal writing and also brought up burning issues of the society, such as the age old male-female divide. Dr.Sinha stressed on the importance of Tribal literature which remains an unexplored area till date. Living in a tribal rich region like Jharkhand it becomes imperative for social-scientists to carry out meaningful research in the area. The next session was taken by Dr.Manoj Kumar, Associate Professor, Head, Centre for Life Science, Central University of Jharkhand. He enlightened the faculty of AUJ with his valuable inputs on writing research proposals and its submission to funding agencies. He reiterated the fact that investigators applying for project should have a clear insight about the organogram of the apex funding bodies and their functioning. Dr Rishi Raj, Assistant Professor, Dept of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Patna ignited the spark of research in the minds of young academics. He discussed the process of planning a publication, choosing a good journal, ethics of publication etc. Prof. (Dr.)Prabal Sen (Founder Chairperson, Entrepreneurship Development Centre,XLRI) graced the valedictory session with his presence. Certificates were distributed to the participants and Registrar Mr.Prabhakar Tripathi proposed the Vote of Thanks.
