Amity School of Hospitality, Amity University Gurugram organised a Sustainability and Future Food workshop on 22nd September, 2023. The Sustainability & Future Food Workshop aimed to educate ASH students about the health benefits of incorporating Vegetarian & Vegan Soya Food into their daily diets. The event was coordinated by Dr. Kunal Seth, Assistant Professor, ASH.

Vezlay Foods Pvt Ltd being one of the pioneers in introducing soya food with a non-vegetarian texture in India, educated the students about range of innovative and ready-to-eat soya food products. They also emphasised on the various important aspects of product manufacturing such as its dietary values, taste, hygiene, cost effectivity and marketing strategies. Mr. Pramod Kumar, General Manager, Vezlay Foods, conducted cooking demonstrations of various Vegetarian & Vegan Soya Food Products in ASH's Food Production Lab, providing hands-on learning opportunities for the participants. A total of 33 students and 7 faculty members participated in the event.

The workshop successfully imparted knowledge about the health benefits of Vegetarian & Vegan Soya Food and introduced students to innovative products offered by Vezlay Foods Pvt. Ltd. It emphasized on the importance of sustainable and healthy food choices in today's world, and provided valuable insights into the world of soya-based foods, contributing to the culinary education of ASH students.
