The Department of Audiology and Speech- Language Pathology of Amity Medical School, Amity University Gurugram organised a Speech and Hearing Screening Camp at Govt Primary School, Gwalior, Panchagon, on 19th September, 2023. The event was coordinated by Mr. Arun Kumar Yadav.

The camp's primary focus was to promote communication and hearing health among participants. It commenced with screening and assessment sessions during which students evaluated attendees to identify speech and hearing disorders. Following the evaluations, they provided valuable follow-up resources and recommendations for ongoing therapy or support once the camp concluded. In total, 57 children were screened during the camp, with 42 undergoing hearing assessments and 15 receiving speech-language assessments. A total of 5 students and 3 faculty members participated in the event.

In conclusion, the event successfully achieved its objective to enhance the quality of life for children facing speech and hearing challenges, with a particular emphasis on early identification and intervention. The camp also created a supportive environment for addressing these issues and significantly contributed to the well-being of the attendees.
