Department of Clinical Research, Amity Stem Cell Institute of Amity Medical School, and Department of Dietetics & Applied Nutrition organised a Community Awareness Program on “Antibiotic Resistance”, on May 8, 2024. Commemorating World Red Cross Day, this outreach event aimed to shed light on the pressing issue of antibiotic resistance.
The aim of the event was to address the critical issue of rising antibiotic resistance, which presents a significant threat to global healthcare. The event sought to raise awareness among the public, with a particular focus on rural communities, about the dangers of antibiotic misuse and the potential consequences for public health. Additionally, the event aimed to educate individuals on the proper usage of antibiotics, emphasizing the importance of following medical guidance to ensure effective treatment and prevent resistance.
The event was highly effective in achieving its objectives related to combating the global challenge of antibiotic resistance. Through engaging presentations and educational activities, the event successfully raised awareness among the public, particularly in rural communities, about the risks associated with improper antibiotic use. |
