The MUN Workshop, organized by Hunkaar – the Public Speaking and Debating Society on 30th October 2025 at Amity University Gurugram, Haryana, was conducted with the aim of equipping students with a comprehensive understanding of Model United Nations procedures and practices.
The workshop sought to enhance students’ academic and personal grooming by developing essential skills such as research, drafting position papers and resolutions, public speaking, negotiation, diplomacy, and critical thinking. It was designed to foster confidence, leadership qualities, teamwork, and awareness of global affairs, thereby encouraging structured expression of ideas, healthy debate, and collaborative problem-solving among participants.
The MUN Workshop successfully achieved its intended objectives and proved to be a valuable learning experience for all participating students. Through interactive discussions and mock sessions, students gained both theoretical knowledge and practical exposure to the functioning of Model United Nations committees. The workshop significantly improved participants’ communication abilities, analytical thinking, diplomatic articulation, and confidence in public speaking. It also promoted teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills, contributing meaningfully to students’ overall academic enrichment and personal development.
