The event titled “Building a Cyber Resilient Generation: Skills for Security,” organized by the Amity Skill Institute in collaboration with the Amity School of Applied Sciences on 10th November 2025, aimed to raise awareness among students about cybersecurity, digital safety, and ethical online practices.

The session sought to educate participants on the types, causes, and consequences of cybercrimes, preventive measures, legal remedies, and emerging career opportunities in cybersecurity and ethical hacking. It also aimed to enhance digital literacy, promote responsible internet use, and equip students with the knowledge and skills required to navigate online spaces safely and confidently.

The session, delivered by Mr. Deepak Kajla from the Cyber Cell, Bahadurgarh, Haryana, was highly informative and engaging. Mr. Kajla provided practical insights into various cyber offenses, including hacking, phishing, identity theft, cyberbullying, and online scams, while demonstrating preventive strategies such as strong password use, software updates, and vigilance against frauds. He also highlighted legal procedures, reporting mechanisms, and the significance of the upcoming Data Protection Act (2026).

The interactive Q&A and real-life case studies further enriched the session. Overall, the event successfully enhanced students’ understanding of cyber risks, digital responsibility, and career opportunities, fostering a generation more resilient and prepared for the challenges of the digital age.
