Goenka Public School, Sec-10 A, Gurugram, Euro International School, Dharuhera, Amity International School, Saket, Gurunanak Institute of Management.

Mr. Sachin Juneja, Director, Market Promotions moderated the session and discuss major key points on Pursuing the same direction: The need of all stakeholders to work together for the nation’s growth.

Ms. Iffat Ibrahim, Principal, CHIREC International School, Hyderabad

To the question that Indian institutes are nowhere in top-ranked education institutes globally whereas many Indians like Indira Nooyi, Sundar Pichai, etc. are world best company CEOs. Ms. Iffat Ibrahim stated that Indians are doing so well on an International Front but getting out of India and getting the degrees globally had made them stand out and excel, brain drain is a serious problem as a country we should see how to minimize brain drain. Whereas let’s not forget Urjit Patel, Raghuram Rajan, and more people like them who studied abroad and came back to India and contributed here. If we talk about the top 100 Universities in the world, we are not in it, but we have to understand that we are a young country only 75 years old, we will make it there in time.

NEP is a good way to achieve this goal and the government is trying hard to move ahead when it comes to education although implementation is going to be a problem, and it will be managed over a course of time. She expressed her happiness over NEP that will be able to take out problems in today’s education system and it will cut across all streams just like any top foreign education system.

When asked about entrepreneurial or job creator-focused education system she replied that India has always been a country of Doctors and Engineers since the beginning, but now times have changed. If we compare our lives with our parents, we will see many positive changes like Computers, easy availability of knowledge on the internet, different types of careers and most important working women. In tier 2 or 3 cities the problem persists but there, schools will have to take a lead in teaching parents that doctors or engineers are not the only options.

Ms. Archana Pandey, Principal , GD Goenka Public School ,Sector 10A, Gurugram

Ms. Archana shared her views on the issues faced by the teachers. She appreciated the NEP policy and the step taken by the government. She mentioned that every time the first step has to be taken by the teacher and this increases the expectation from the teachers a lot.

She specified that there is a need to understand the child first, the student can be good at one form but cannot achieve a similar result in the other, here teacher and student engagement is important, spending time and understanding his requirement is crucial.

Ms. Meenu Dubey Principal, Euro International School- Dharuhera

She shared her views on teachers' difficulties that curriculam we teach to our students, this should have syncronization to practical aspect but when student is not been able to relate it to external world they get confused about what is Right & what is wrong for them. Sometimes parents are also of different opinion from teachers and at times, they get confused which is a big problem. After the reopening of schools after the pandemic, the student's mentality has been changed now, So now it's our responsibility to be a bridge between Students & Parents.

Nowadays, students are getting knowledge from google. That is okay but other social media is distracting students very much, so this is again a big problem. Also, if we talk about YouTube knowledge provided every knowledge provided by the provider is not correct so, for our students, we also need to make sure about it.

Ms. Divya Bhatia, Principal, Amity International School, Saket, Delhi

She explicitly shared on students' innovations in India, especially in her school. She mentioned that online education during pandemic has increased student, parent, teacher coordination and student has developed their own thinking level. In terms of research, innovation, She highlighted that 3 patents and 5 copyrights has been filed by the Amity Saket students. New Education Policy has allowed student think freely, given opportunities to choose subjects of their choice and think in the respective direction.

Online education has also given a challenge to all the stakeholders whether they are parents, students or teachers they have to think differently to compete with other countries in terms of research, She emphasized.

Prof. (Dr.) Maninder Kaur, Director, Guru Nanak Institute of Management, Delhi:-

She rightly said that now we have to become job creators instead of job seekers, during her talk he encouraged youth to think about India too before moving to USA and other countries for research. They need to work for their country instead of other ones.

She also mentioned that 50% of our youth are unemployable. Because they do not have the proper skills set required by the industries like communication, innovation, creativity, team worker. So, they did not get the right profile or job.   She also mentioned that. We have to focus on Mock Courses to improve today’s youth skill set. On this, Mr Sachin Juneja highlighted the efforts of Amity University Gurugarm in preparing the students for placement through corporate resource centre, Amity Innovation and Research System like CIRF Lab, Lipidomics Lab which are world-class and is is open access for scientists, students, to use for.
