Workshop Trend Benders Organized by Amity Institute of Design

Amity Institute of Design (Fashion Design) organized a workshop on “Trend Benders” with Ms. Pravesh Bhardwaj (Teaching Associate), AUH as the expert speaker from 21st September to 23rd September 2022 with the theme of innovation.

Purchasing jewelry, whether made of steel, silver, or plastic, may be expensive. Making homemade jewelry, on the other hand, can be considerably more cost effective than purchasing it, especially if it is produced from waste and inexpensive materials such as jute and paper. Students learnt how to build unique jewelry out of scrap materials.

The main goal of the session was to learn a few basic techniques for making unique styles of jewelry collections such as necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and more out of waste jute fabric, paper, newspaper, and other materials. Making handmade jewelry is much more cost effective than buying them.

The students learned about the possibility of having jewellery that closely matches their style and tastes at a lower cost using materials that they could not have used, to use their imagination to create any jewellery they want, to pair the jewellery with Innovation Day garments, to make it possible with materials such as beads, wire, string, resin, or waste materials such as paper and plastic, and Looping, wire cutting, and other common skills and methods are taught.
