An Awareness Program by Amity Military School on 4th October 2024.
Amity Military School organised an awareness program on Eye Screening Camp for military Students on 4th October 2024. The camp aimed to enhance the practical skills of optometry students in conducting vision assessments and foster a sense of community service within the field of optometry.
The aim was to provide comprehensive vision screenings for school-going children aged 10 to 15 years residing in the Military Training School. The event sought to facilitate the early detection of vision problems, promote eye health, and improve academic performance among the students.
The Eye Screening Camp successfully achieved its objectives, resulting in the early identification of various vision issues, such as refractive errors, colour vision deficiencies, and binocular vision problems among participating students. Optometry students gained valuable hands-on experience in conducting large-scale vision screenings, improving their clinical decision-making and communication skills while managing patient interactions effectively.
