A guest lecture on Indian Penal Code- 1860 organized by ALS 14th September, 2023
Amity Law School, Amity University Gurugram organized a guest lecture on “Indian Panel Code- 1860” on 14th September, 2023. The event was been coordinated by Dr. Shiv Raman, Associate Professor and Mr. Sanjay Kumar Pandey, Assistant Professor. The event was being held as a part of the ongoing MoU of ALS with Pahuja Law Academy for the same, with the aim to provide continued guidance to the students in their endeavors to attempt competitive examinations.
The distinguished speaker of the guest lecture was Ms. Ginny Rajvanshi, Senior Faculty at Pahuja Law Academy, Delhi, who expressed her happiness in organizing such a lecture where students could learn the intricacies of the IPC and technique of answering questions during exams. Elaborate explanation of the provisions of the code and case studies along with discussions about the intricate differences between investigation and inquiry and their importance in trials took place during the program. Ms. Ginny further highlighted on the skills and qualities needed for qualifying in the Judicial Services Examination and explained tricks and techniques, to be followed in Prelims, Mains and Interview. A total of 120 students and 2 faculty members participated in the event.
In conclusion, the event demonstrated knowledge about the Indian Panel Code- 1860, various legal proceedings, and strategies to qualify in professional examinations. The event proved to be valuable for the students who want to pursue a career in the field of judiciary.
