ALS organised an intra moot court competition which was held from 6th-16th February 2024. A total number of 40 students had participated from Amity University Haryana.Moot Court Society of Amity Law School organized Amity Intra Moot Court Competition, 2024 for the first semester students. The proposition of the current competition was based on Hindu Law, its application in everyday life and the nuances in the concept of cruelty and varying grounds of divorce under the law.
The competition conducted was for the first-year students so, there was only one round. The preliminary round featured 24 teams, each presenting their arguments before the judge/s. The lecture halls were converted into 5 Courtrooms for the proceedings to take place. Each team had 20 minutes to put forward their arguments and the rebuttal was for 2 minutes which was inclusive of the main time. The Competition was judged by Dr. Monica Yadav, Dr Atul Jain, Dr.ArchnaSehrawat, Dr.Toshi Rattan, Dr. Sanjay Pandey and Dr.VidushiPuri. The students of the First Semester participated with zeal and performed exceptionally well in the competition.
In conclusion, the competition had been a testament to the dedication and skill of the participants. Through rigorous preparation and insightful arguments, each team showcased their legal acumen and ability to analyse complex issues. The competition not only provided a platform for students to hone their advocacy skills but also fostered a spirit of collaboration and camaraderie within legal community.
