Charles Correa – Movie Screening on Indian Architects’ Day was organised by ASAP on 1st September 2026. It provided valuable information about the donation process, eligibility criteria, and the importance of dispelling misconceptions.
The awareness programme “Vision Beyond Life: Give the Gift of Sight,” organized by the Department of Optometry and Vision Science, aimed to educate university students about the importance of eye donation and corneal transplantation. The programme sought to clarify the donation process and eligibility criteria, address common myths and misconceptions, and encourage students to promote awareness and informed decision-making within their families and communities, in alignment with SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being.
The awareness programme enhanced students’ understanding of eye donation and its role in restoring vision among individuals affected by corneal blindness. The initiative encouraged students to take an active role in spreading accurate information about eye donation, fostering social responsibility, voluntary donation, and community participation.
