Guest Lecture on Technology, Innovation and Empowerment in Health Care
On 18th October 2022, Corporate Resource Center’s Director- Mr. Manoj Sahani and Deputy Director- Ankur Gupta, organised a corporate guest lecture on ‘Technology, Innovation and Empowerment in Health Care’. The event coordinator was Mr. Ankur Gupta, Deputy Director, CRC. The guest speaker was Dr. Sanjeev Singh, Medical Director, Amrita Hospital Faridabad. A total of 124 participants, including 5 faculties, were present in the lecture. The session was intended to target students from the department of Medical School/Nursing/Pharmacy.
The lecture aimed to inform students on how to apply technology advancements and innovation in the field of health care while also learning from the speaker's extensive professional experience. in their transition from a college to a business setting.
The speaker emphasised the idea of innovation and discussed the fundamental thinking process involved to consider engaging in some innovation as well as how to convert an idea or set of thoughts into a business model. He introduced the students to empathy and a sense of community in the healthcare industry and shared some of the first technological innovations Amrita hospitals carried out in their Kochi facility, such as performing the first-ever hand transplant in India. He also stressed how the health care industry benefits from the most recent technology, including AI, Data Science, and many others that are on the horizon. The session concluded with closing remarks and vote of thanks from Mr. Ankur Gupta – Deputy Director – CRC and a group photograph with the students.
