“Recent Trends in Russian Contemporary Literature” by Amity Centre for BRICS Studies
A Guest Lecture on “Recent Trends in Russian Contemporary Literature” by Amity Centre for BRICS Studies in collaboration with ASL on 21st November 2025. It aimed to familiarize students and faculty with the evolving landscape of Russian literature, particularly in children’s and young adult genres.
By hosting celebrated author Dmitri Aleksandrovich Yemets, the event sought to promote intercultural understanding, inspire creative writing, and encourage engagement with contemporary literary trends. It also provided a platform for exploring the processes of storytelling, genre development, and cultural influences in modern Russian literature.
The session with Mr. Dmitri Aleksandrovich Yemets successfully offered participants firsthand insights into contemporary Russian literary practices. He discussed the growth of fantasy and adventure genres, shared his personal writing journey, and explained the creative processes behind his popular book series. Interactive discussions allowed students to engage with questions about translation, humor, character development, and reading trends in Russia.
