Amity Medical School, Department of medical lab technology organized webinar on Challenges & Possible Solution in Diagnosis of Mycobacterium Tuberculosis on 13^th April 2021 by Dr. Rajesh Prakash, Research Scientist, Doon Medical College, Govt. Dehradun. 

The main objective of the webinar was to create an open platform to prepare each of the participant to update themselves about diagnosis of tuberculosis and update students about different diagnostic methods and challenges in diagnosis with further solutions and also create future research possibilities in concern of clinical microbiology with reference to tuberculosis and other infectious diseases. 

Dr. Rajat Prakash, , Research Scientist, Doon Medical College, Govt. Dehradun started his lecture by giving introduction to tuberculosis .He highlighted about the challenges of tuberculosis and the diagnosis of tuberculosis with its clinical significance.

Students gained knowledge of testing through latest technology such as Genexpert, TrueNet, MGIT and LAMP test principle, procedure, and its clinical significance. Students also got future directions to carry out some valuable research in concern of rapid diagnosis of tuberculosis and other infectious diseases.
