The Department of Commerce at Amity University organized an engaging and thought-provoking event titled Best Out of Waste on 17th September 2025. The event carried the inspiring tagline “Where Waste Meets Creativity!” which perfectly encapsulated the vision and objectives of the initiative, aiming to create awareness among students about the importance of waste management, sustainability, and creative problem-solving in addressing environmental challenges.
The central idea was to encourage students to utilize discarded and unused items to create something purposeful, innovative, and aesthetically appealing, thereby fostering a sense of responsibility toward the environment while igniting their creative abilities. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from undergraduate students, who showcased a wide range of innovative models and products crafted from everyday waste materials, including plastic bottles, paper scraps, cardboard, tin cans, old fabrics, and e-waste components, reflecting their out-of-the-box thinking and ability to transform waste into utility.
By the end of the event, students carried home not only the joy of participation and achievement but also an enriched perspective on how their individual contributions, no matter how small, could collectively pave the way toward a greener and more sustainable future. This meaningful amalgamation of creativity, awareness, and sustainability indeed made Best Out of Waste a memorable and impactful learning experience for everyone involved.
