An Academic Visit to the Indian Air Force Museum was organized by the Amity Institute of Defence Technology (AIDT) on 07 November 2025 was to provide students with experiential exposure to India’s aerospace heritage, defence technology, and military history.

The visit was intended to complement classroom learning by familiarizing students with the evolution of the Indian Air Force since 1932, its role in major wars and operations, and the technological progression of aircraft, weapons, and surveillance systems. It also aimed to instill a sense of patriotism, respect for the armed forces, and awareness of the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of Air Force personnel, while enhancing students’ understanding of defence studies through real-world observation.

The academic visit was successfully conducted with the participation of 22 students and proved to be highly informative and enriching. Students explored both indoor and outdoor galleries featuring fighter jets, transport aircraft, helicopters, drones, vintage weapons, uniforms, medals, and war memorabilia, gaining detailed insights into the Indian Air Force’s operational history and technological advancement. The exhibits on the Indo-Pak wars of 1947, 1965, 1971, and the Kargil conflict deepened their understanding of aerial warfare and strategic air power.
