Amity University Madhya Pradesh celebrated the 75th Independence Day of the country with patriotic fervour and spirit on 15th August 2021 in the campus to remember the martyrs and the freedom fighters who laid their lives for the country and laid the glorious path for the future generations.
 
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor AUMP, Lt. Gen. V.K. Sharma, AVSM (Retd) hoisted  the Tri-colour which filled all the students, faculty and staff of AUMP with immense pride. This was followed by the rendition of the National Anthem which filled the campus with patriotism and nationalism.
 
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Lt. Gen. V.K. Sharma, AVSM (Retd) greeted the students, faculty and staff of the University on this historic occasion. He opined that our country has achieved immensely in the field of economic growth, education, research on the path of becoming world leader. Citing the Medals won by Indian sportsmen and sportswomen he appreciated their efforts. He said that to bring back the glorious days of India, changes at national level are required.
Addressing the audience Hon’ble VC urged the faculty, staff and students of AUMP to work hard with dedication and commitment to achieve their goals. He expressed his gratitude to Hon’ble Founder President and Hon’ble Chairman for their vision and exemplary leadership and guidance at every step. Motivating the gathering Hon’ble VC said “This is our country, and we should be proud of it.” 
 
Paying tributes to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in the year-long celebrations of his 125th birth anniversary, a skit titled “An Indian Pilgrim” was presented by the students of AISS, AUMP in order to honour and remember Netaji’s unparalleled contribution to the freedom struggle of our country. Inspiring incidents of his life were dramatized showcasing his indomitable spirit and selfless service to the nation and to instill the fervour of nationalism in the audience. The skit concluded with a mesmerising dance performance which  received a warm applause from the audience.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Hon’ble VC, Pro VC, Deputy Pro-VC, Registrar, Deans, Directors, HoIs, HoDs, faculty, staff members and the students of AUMP. Keeping up with the tradition, sweets were distributed and photographs were clicked with the dignitaries on this momentous occasion.
