The next part of the session was conducted by Mrs. Rakhi Oswal, Life Coach & Director - WeSafe India. She said, Yoga is an art of wellness that was not only born in India but has also blossomed in India for thousands of years. It is an art that helps many people to attain better health and awareness. It leads them to holistic wellbeing. It has incredible benefits both for our physical and mental health. When Yoga, Pranayama, and meditation are practiced together, a connection between mind and body is created which improves overall health.  There are several forms of yoga merging Pranayama and Meditation, in which there is control of breathing, while one is performing yoga.

She said, when we talk about Pranayama, it is translated as an extension of one’s prana force. It implies to the set of breathing techniques in which your breath is altered intentionally to produce specific results. While meditation is unwinding of thoughts, it has nothing to do with concentration of thoughts on one thing. It is about becoming thoughtless. Practicing yoga, Pranayama, and meditation has significant health benefits. With so many studies, people have started recognizing the importance of Yoga, Pranayama, and Meditation in their life.

The talks were followed by question answer session which was taken up by speakers. The International yoga day was coordinated by Dr. Venkatadri Marriboyina, Professor and Head, CSE Dept. supported by Maj Gen (Dr) SC Jain, VSM** (Retd), Director ASET.
