Celebration of 150 Anniversary
Amity University Madhya Pradesh organized a Commemorating Vande Mataram held on 13th November, 2025
The year 2025 marks the 150th anniversary of the composition of the iconic national song Vande Mataram by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay. To commemorate this historic milestone, Amity University Madhya Pradesh organized a solemn and inspiring collective singing of the song on 13 November 2025 at 11:30 a.m. in the Auditorium, B-Block.
The event witnessed the esteemed presence of the Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Directors, faculty members, staff, and students. The rendition was led by four students from the Cultural Club of the University, who guided the rhythm and harmony of the collective singing.
The programme began with a brief narration on the creation of Vande Mataram in 1875 and its pivotal role in India’s freedom struggle—making the occasion especially meaningful in its sesquicentennial year. All participants stood in respect as the singing commenced, filling the auditorium with a powerful sense of unity and patriotic fervour.
Addressing the gathering, the Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor and Hon’ble Vice Chancellor highlighted the continued relevance of Vande Mataram in shaping national consciousness and encouraged students to uphold the values of integrity, harmony, and service to the nation.
The event concluded successfully, reinforcing the University's Commitment to National Pride, Heritage and value - based education.
