Amity University Madhya Pradesh has celebrated innovation week from 24th to 30th September 2020 to mark the birthday of Hon’ble Sir Dr. Aseem Chauhan. The students and the faculty of various Institutes showcased their creativity on this occasion. 

24th September 2020 (Thursday)

Guest Lecture  on “Role of Bioinformatics & Computational Biology in COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) therapeutics” was organzied jointly by Department of Applied Physics and Science Club, Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior

 

To mark the celebration of innovation week, Department of Applied Physics and Science Club, Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior jointly organized a Guest Lecture on “Role of Bioinformatics & Computational Biology in COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) Therapeutics”, on 24th September 2020, Thursday, between 3:15 pm to 4:30 pm. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Medha Pandya, M. K. Bhavnagar University, Bhavnagar, Gujarat. The session started with the welcome speech of Dr. Snehal Jani. She welcomed Dr. Medha Pandya, M. K. Bhavnagar University, Bhavnagar, Gujarat, Dr. R.S. Tomar, Dean academics, AIB and Maj Gen (Dr) SC Jain, VSM** (Retd), Director, Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Amity University Madhya Pradesh.  

 

 

Dr. Medha Pandya, the key note speaker of the programme, spoke on the importance of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology in COVID-19 therapeutics. The youth was highly enlightened by her speech during the session. Maj Gen (Dr) SC Jain, VSM** (Retd), Director, Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Manisha Singh, HoD Applied Physics, Dr. Pankaj Mishra, Dr. Snehal Jani and all faculties members of ASET, Research scholars and students of CBSC Nanotechnology were present during the Guest Lecture. The talk was concluded with the Vote of thanks extended by Dr. Manisha Singh to the young researcher and all the participants.

 

 

 

25th September 2020 (Friday) 

“Coding Competition” by Coding Club, Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior

 

 

Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Amity University Madhya Pradesh organized a Coding Competition in the Innovation week on 25th Sept. 2020 at 04:15 pm - 05:30 pm, under the guidance of eminent faculty members Dr. Venkatadri Marriboyina. The faculty coordinators for the event were Mr. Dinesh Sharma, Mrs. Madhavi Dhingra and Mr. Devendra Kumar Mishra of Amity School of Engineering and Technology. The opening remarks were given by Maj Gen (Dr) SC Jain, VSM** (Retd), Director - ASET, regarding the importance of the coding. The competition details were given by Mr. Sahil Singh - student coordinator of B.Tech. CSE VII Semester. The inaugural session was hosted on Bharat Live Platform created by Amity Coding Club. Total number of registered participants were 169 for the competition. The winners of the event were - Smrity Lavanya, Samarth Pathak, Mukul Agrawal. The event went well under the coordination of student team, Ms. Ayushi Rai, Mr. Sahil Singh of B. Tech CSE who anchored and presented the details of the event.

“ Science Quiz  Organzied jointly by Science Club, Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior

 

To mark the celebration of the innovation week, Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior organized a Science Quiz on 26th September 2020, Saturday, between 11:30 pm to 12:30 pm. Dr. Pankaj Mishra and Ms. Divya Gautam were the faculty Coordinators and Mr. Narendra Garg and Dr. Divya Singh were the Convenor of the event. Mr. Dinesh Sharma actively coordinated the event. The session had started by the welcome speech of Dr. Pankaj Mishra. He welcomed Maj. Gen (Dr) SC Jain, VSM** (Retd) Director, Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Amity University Madhya Pradesh as the Guest speaker of the event He spoke on the importance of innovation week and encouraged all the students for their enthusiastic participation in the science quiz competition. A big number of students as well as faculty members attended the event. It was the joint contribution of all the members of Science Club, Student Coordinators and Participants who made this event a grand success. All the participants were provided the E-certificates.

Webinar on “How to Set Up, Scale Up and Navigate A Startup” by Amity Business school, AUMP

 

Innovation week was being celebrated at Amity University Madhya Pradesh. A lot of activities were conducted throughout the week. On this auspicious occasion of innovation day, Amity Business School, Amity University Madhya Pradesh and Amity Innovation Incubation organized a webinar on ‘How to Set up, Scale up and Navigate a start-up’. The webinar was delivered by Mr. Atul Mehta, Sr. Vice President, Razorpay.

 

Mr. Atul Mehta spoke at length on the how to set up a business. He emphasized on the significance of three valuable things of people, process and technology while setting out any venture. He also said that one must analysze why one was doing something eles, before doing it and the purpose should be right to do it.  At the end, the Pro Vice Chancellor of Amity University Madhya Pradesh Prof. (Dr.) M.P. Kaushik gave the closing remarks and valuable inputs on how to be an entrepreneur. 

 

Three hundred students and 25 faculty members of Amity University Madhya Pradesh joined the webinar. The webinar was coordinated by Mr. Naresh Kedia, Faculty member, Amity Business School.

Celebration of “World Tourism Day” by Amity Business School, AUMP

 

The celebration of World Tourism Day began with stating the importance of various cultures and World Tourism Day by Siddhi Jain, student of BBA V Semester. The celebration included the cultural performances and the showcase of the culinary skills based on various cuisines by the students of Amity Business School. The students of all courses and semesters of ABS participated with full enthusiasm and zeal. There were 15 dance performances (solo and group) and 14 cooking demonstrations, which were played through pre-recorded videos. Overall, 34 students participated to represent 17 cultures of India, covering North to South and East to West (MP, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, J&K, Punjab, Gujarat, West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, etc.) and other countries like Thailand, USA, Scotland, Italy, etc. The faculty members and students of ABS witnessed the amazing experience.

 

The event was graced by the benign presence of the Head of the Department, Dr Manoj Pandey who along with Prof. (Dr.) Devendra Kumar Pandey, announced the names of winners in each category. The event was organized by Dr Astha Joshi and coordinated by Dr Monica C Bhadoriya. The certificate of participation was awarded to each participant to enhance his/her motivation and enthusiasm.

E-Poster Competition on theme the "PANDEMIC: A THREAT TO HUMANITY" organized by Amity Institute of Biotechnology (AIB)

 

On the occasion of birthday of Hon'ble Chancellor Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior celebrated the week as ‘Innovation Week’ by organising an E-Poster competition in online mode on MSTEAMS. The event was held on 24th September 2020 from 2:15 PM to 4:30 PM on the theme; ‘Pandemic: A threat to Humanity’. Prof. (Dr.) M.P. Kaushik, Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor, AUMP, Prof. (Dr.) R.S. Tomar, Director AIB & Dean (Academics), Prof. (Dr.) Kuldeep Dwivedi, Head, EVS, faculty members and students of AIB were present. Event commenced with the inaugural address of Prof. (Dr.) M.P. Kaushik. In his opening remark, he elucidated the need of awareness about coronavirus outbreak and also emphasized to follow our social responsibility during this pandemic situation.  

 

There were total 12 posters in groups and individual level, presented by 19 students. Presenters deliberated well during their poster presentation and answered the questions. All the posters were evaluated by Prof. (Dr.) Kuldeep Dwivedi, Prof. (Dr.) Vikas Shrivastava and Dr. Anurag Jyoti. 

 

Competition concluded with the closing remarks of Prof. (Dr.) R.S. Tomar, Director, AIB & Dean (Academics) in which he explained the need of organising such events and emphasized the cause and possible remediation of current pandemic. He celebrated the birthday of Hon’ble CVI Sir, by wishing him ‘HAPPY BIRTHADY’ with a united voice of students and faculty members.

“Legal Aid Camp” and Distribution of Masks and Sanitizers  by Amity Law School, AUMP

 

 

‘The guiding Motto of Amity Law School, AUMP is to make students tall leaders in Legal Profession, who remain relevant to the Society and are responsible citizens, cognizant of their problems. This is slow and steady process. Afterall, ‘Rome was not built in a day’. We always teach our students, that they should ‘Never waste a Crisis’. In this backdrop, on the occasion of Amity Innovation Day, Amity Law School, AUMP, we could not think better than organising a Legal Aid Camp on 28th September in coordination with District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), District Court Gwalior, to create awareness of using masks and sanitizers during COVID 19. It is a statutory requirement to obey the instructions of State or District authorities to wear masks. Hence, the Legal Aid Clinic. In this Camp, people who were not using masks were explained the importance of using masks. Also, they were explained the importance of washing hands and using sanitizers and the importance of social distancing. On this occasion about 1000 masks and 500 sanitizers were distributed to the poor people who were not having masks.

 

This camp was organized at Inderganj Chouraha, Gwalior. Inderganj Chouraha of Gwalior is the most active roundabout of Gwalior, where vendors, passerby, lawyers, clients, labourers -almost all type of people are found. District Court, Police Station and showrooms were also located at this Chouraha. Therefore, this place was selected for organising the camp. Student volunteers also covered Dal Bazaar, vegetable vendors and passerby who were not using masks and distributed masks to them. The students actively identified the people who were not using masks or using cotton cloth to cover their faces. They were sensitized to use the masks regularly.  The social distancing was well followed in camp by organisers and participants. 

 

The sanitzers were sponsored by the student of ALS Ms Aishwarya Shandilya BBALLB 5th Sem. Ms Aishwarya Shandilya established the Unit to manufacture sanitizers and soaps during lockdown period. She employed the women workers in this work, who lost their jobs due to lockdown and promoting the notion of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. 

On the auspicious occasion of birthday of our Hon’ble Chancellor, it was a great pleasure distributing masks and sanitizers to the needy people and creating awareness during the period of Pandemic. Maj Gen Rajinder Kumar, AVSM, SM, VSM, Director ALS, Mr Rituraj Singh Chouhan Secretary, District Legal Aid Services, Prof (Dr) Rakhi Singh Chouhan, HoD ALS, Prof (Dr) Sandeep Kulshrestha, Dr Krati Rajoriya, Mr Arun, Assistant Professors and Mr Fateh Singh, supporting staff were present in the camp. Around 14 student volunteers were present in the camp, who had joined after the due permission of their parents.

Mental Mask Making Competition organized by Amity Institute of Behavioural and Allied Sciences (AIBAS) to celebrate the Innovation Week 

 

Amity Institute of Behavioural and Allied Sciences, AUMP organized a mental mask making competition to commemorate the birthday of Hon’ble Chancellor Dr Aseem Chauhan as the part of the Innovation Week on September 25th September, 2020.

The theme of the event was “MENTAL MASK” with the objective to increase awareness about the importance and necessity of MASK during this pandemic. It provided an opportunity to the students to showcase their care and concern towards the society. The students represented their creativity through art, wherein they expressed their feelings in the form of paintings, embroidery and through positive messages. These played an important role to sensitize the public regarding issues at large. AIBAS organize various events for the students every year to promote good health and well-being. 

The students were given a day’s time to prepare the masks using their creative imagination by remaining at home during COVID 19. The students were extremely enthusiastic and interested about the event and around twenty students participated in the event. 

The display of the created masks started on MS teams at 5:10 PM on 25th September 2020. During the display of masks on MS Teams,  (Prof.) Lalitesh Jain, Director, ASAP, Mrs. Anshu Singh, HoI, ASFDT, Ms. Rupali Kakaria Assistant Professor, ASFDT, Dr. Deepa Pandey, HoI AIBAS, Dr Rajendra Sharma, HoD Clinical Psychology, faculty coordinators of the event Dr. Khusboo and Dr. Owais Khan and other faculty members of AIBAS registered their presence through virtual mode.

“Ramyam" The Photography Competition organized by Amity Institute of Behavioural and Allied (AIBAS) and Amity School of Communication ( ASCO)  to celebrate the Innovation Week 

 

On the Birthday of Hon'ble Chancellor Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Innovation Week was celebrated across all the Amity Campuses. To Express our respect and best wishes to Hon'ble Sir C-VI , Amity Institute of Behaviour and Allied Science in coordination with Amity School of Communication of AUMP Organized “Ramyam" (The Photography Competition)The event was a photography competition; students were needde to click the pictures of happy family moments. Family which is considered as the most important emotional support system for a child, and every moment we need to cherish with our loved once which is a concern of this year, Mental Health Awareness Campaign, Worldwide. Students sent the pictures of their happy and memorable time with a description of Ramyam moment of the picture.

 

Students sent their happy family moments and there were 10 entries shortlisted for the online event. The event held   was on 25th September, 2020 at 5:45 pm on teams. The students were enthusiastic. During the event, the students showed their pictures and shared the thoughts and feelings of that Ramyam moment. With the presence of our esteemed guests Dr. Sumit Narula, Director ASCO, Dr. Deepa Pandey HoI, AIBAS, Dr Rajendra Sharma HoD of Clinical Psychology, Dr. Deepak Kumar, Associate Professor, AIBAS and faculty coordinators of the event Dr. Shubhagata Awasthi, Ms. Tanu Singh, AIBAS and Mr. Manish Dubey as well as Arun Tomar, ASCO were present. As judges Dr. Sumit Narula and Dr. Deepak Kumar shared their thoughts and appreciated the students, while encouraging all the participants for their efforts. Dr. Deepa Pandey, HOI AIBAS showed gratitude to all the participants and encouraged them for their valuable efforts and participation.

Photography Competition organized by Amity School of Architecture and Planning (ASAP) & Amity School of Communication (ASCO)

 

Amity School of Architecture & Planning and Amity School of Communication jointly organized a Photography Competition, during the innovation week, on 23rd Sept. 2020 on the following themes:

-Humanity

-People and Planet.

 

The competition was aimed to inculcate among the students, the understanding of the human qualities of kindness, basics of humanity and the responsibility towards the planet, Earth. Through the photographs, students showcased their research, innovation,  aesthetic qualities and responsibilities towards the people and the planet. 

 The students captured photographs and used the technicalities regarding aperture, IS0 and the creative angle.

 

Forty entries from India and Abroad were received out of which 15 were shortlisted. Entries were displayed and evaluated by the jury which consisted of renowned Wildlife Photographer Mr. Sanjaydutt Sharma. He was the external jury member. It was conducted on MS Teams, on 23rd September from 1 pm onwards.

 

The critique was given by the jury on each photograph. The Jury insisted upon the importance of post-processing techniques by using the software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator etc. The session focused on motivating students in acquiring photography skills. At the end of the session, the closing remarks and vote of thanks were given by Prof. L. K. Jain, Director, ASAP and Dr. Sumit Narula, Director ASCO. 

 

The programme was coordinated by Ar. Siddharth S. Jadon (ASAP) & Mr. Manish Dubey (ASCO).

E-Certificates were given to the participants.

"Design For All in Post Covid Era - Inclusive Design Competition 2020" by ASAP, AUMP

 

Amity School of Architecture & Planning, AUMP, organized a Design Competition on "Design for All in Post COVID Era - Inclusive Design Competition 2020". This Design Competition was conducted on, online interactive platform, MS Teams. Through this Competition, students of ASAP got an exposure on Inclusive Design and Accessibility issues of Elderly and disabled in post covid-19 era. The role of Architects and Designers to make an Inclusive society and giving real time Universal Design solutions for many problems through their design was emphasized. This initiative of ASAP proved very helpful in this time of lockdown as the students, while sitting at their homes got a good exposure.  

 

In the opening remarks, Ar. Ashish Sharma (Event Coordinator), who was one of the panelists, introduced the Design Problem floated, during competition and introduced, in brief about the works, style and achievements of the invited external jury members - Dr. Alok Ranjan & Ar. Sunil Taneja. Ar. Ashish Sharma (Event Coordinator) also urged participants to remain attentive during the presentation session and be ready with presentations during the session. Dr. Alok Ranjan & Ar. Sunil Taneja and Prof. L. K. Jain asked several questions to participants during Jury discussion on Design entries of students focusing on Inclusive design in post COVID 19 era. Jury Members discussed the application of various basic principles of inclusive design with the participants. Jury also discussed several examples of Inclusive Design narratives to be considered in post covid-19 conditions. The Presentations emphasized on - Inclusive Transportation, Accessibility in Public gardens and Parks, Easy Access in Streetscapes, Universal Design in Hospitals etc. The event was moderated by Ar. Ashish Sharma (Associate Professor, ASAP). Many questions were asked by the Jury and were answered satisfactorily by the participants. Prof. L. K. Jain, (HOI & Director, ASAP, AUMP) was also present as panelists and appreciated the participants. At the end, Prof. L. K. Jain delivered the Vote of Thanks, to All Participants and Jury members. Prof. L. K. Jain, (HOI & Director, ASAP AUMP) then concluded the event.

Webinar on "Green Building Materials For a Sustainable World" by ASAP, AUMP 

 

Amity School of Architecture & Planning, AUMP organized a webinar on "Green Building materials For a Sustainable World”This webinar was conducted on online interactive platform, ZOOM. Through this webinar, students of ASAP got an exposure on Green Building Practices, specially Energy efficient materials and technologies used for construction, the role of Green Buildings, to make a Sustainable society and giv real time sustainable solutions for many problems through their design. This initiative of ASAP proved very helpful at this time of lockdown as the students, while sitting at their homes got a good set of information. 

 

In opening remarks, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of AUMP, Lt. Gen. V. K. Sharma (AVSM Retired), perfectly set a platform for the webinar by sharing his thoughts and knowledge about Green Building and Sustainable Materials. Prof. L. K. Jain, HOI and Director of ASAP, AUMP introduced the speaker and spoke in brief about the works and achievements of the invited speaker - Er. Ashish Singhai. Er. Ashish Singhai spoke on the Principles of Ekistics along with the concept of Green Buildings and Sustainable Materials as introduction during his presentation. He discussed the application of many basic principles of Green Buildings by explaining many projects as case study. He also discussed several examples of Energy Efficiency to be considered in any Green Building Project for getting accreditation by various agencies. The speaker emphasized on - Green Building Technology, Sustainable Materials, LEED, GRIHA and IGBC, Embodied Energy of Materials, need to adopt Energy Efficiency in construction of Buildings including, Sustainable Development. 

 

The webinar was moderated by Ar. Ashish Sharma (Associate Professor, ASAP). Many questions were asked by the students and were answered satisfactorily by the speaker. Prof. Alok Ranjan from MNIT, Jaipur, asked "What Cement Industries are planning to sensitize common people about benefits of using Green Building Materials and Sustainable Technology". Mr. Anshul Baghel asked about “the best suited material for the construction of Green Roofing Systems” 

Prof. (Dr) M. P. Kaushik, Hon'ble Pro Vice Chancellor of AUMP, summarized the talk and appreciated the speaker and Prof. (Dr) M. P. Kaushik was kind enough to deliver, the vote of Thanks to  the Speaker and the all participants. Prof. L. K. Jain, (HOI & Director, ASAP AUMP) then concluded the webinar.   

 

 

30th September, 2020 (Wednesday)

Poster Making Competition – “Education for All”, ASAP AUMP

 

The competition helped the students to sharpen their imagination and creativity. Students learned to translate their thoughts on the paper by preparing the posters. The students learnt to develop the great sense of design and how to implement it. This practical hands-on work covered the practical aspects of sheets of paper materials and utilization of colors through imagination. 

 

It covered all the important basics we needed which included important human elements and the human perception of response to the natural environment. The aim of the competition was fulfilled by educating and sensitizing students about the education system in India and the awareness in society. 

The aim of the competition was to spread the awareness about the importance of Education at every level of society. The posters designed were very informative, creative and thought provoking. 

 

Posters might be used for many purposes. They were the frequent tools to communicate the message.

The students were awarded by the jury on the explanation of the basic concepts of the posters.

Competition on "TRASH TO TREASURE", ASAP AUMP

 

The Trash to Treasure competition enhanced the understanding along with facilitating creative thinking among the students and it also required extensive research and innovation. It provided students with the opportunity to learn by doing, in turn strengthening the learning process. ASAP provided the students a platform to share their ideas and to showcase these ideas into reality by way of model making from the waste materials i.e. Trash to Treasure

 

This practical hands-on work had converted the imagination of the students into practical aspects of three dimensional aesthetical creative useful items out of waste materials through imagination. Students became aware of practices adopted to achieve recycling methods for the waste materials. Students learnt the requisite skills of expressing their inner feeling about the environment, to the society, as a professional thinker. 

The students were awarded in the Trash to Treasure competition. They displayed their creations and explained the concept behind the creations.

Celebration of “Innovation Week” by the Department of Environmental Science (Amity School of Life Sciences ASL) AUMP, Gwalior

 

A webinar titled “Bridging Carbon Sequestration with Climate Change Mitigation in Agro-Ecosystem: Future Perspectives was organized on Saturday, 26 September, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2: 00 PM on the Zoom platform with 145 participants including faculties and  research scholars from universities and institutions from different parts of the country. 

 

Dr Badre Alam, Principal Scientist, ICAR-Central Agro Forestry Research Institute (CAFRI), Jhansi U.P was the guest speaker. The panelists were Lt. Gen. V.K. Sharma (AVSM), Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, AUMP, Gwalior, Prof. M.P Kaushik, Pro. Vice Chancellor, AUMP, Prof. (Dr.) Anil Vashisht, Dy. Pro. The webinar started with the opening remarks by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor AUMP, Lt. Gen. V.K Sharma, who emphasized on the need to check the level of greenhouse gases and therefore an urgent need to develop cost-effective, affordable, socially & culturally acceptable technologies and strategies to conserve natural resources and to reduce the carbon footprints. Thereafter the invited speaker Dr Badre Alam delivered an exhaustive lecture on the importance of Agroforestry and the many beneficial roles for human life improvement through its products and services. The experimental finding of the research undertaken by him in different agro-ecosystems could clearly establish that Agroforestry has become a vast sink for carbon dioxide. This made it possible for its tremendous potential for carbon sequestration. 

 

The queries from the participants were answered by the guest speaker. In the end Prof. (Dr) Kuldip Dwivedi, moderator of the webinar and Head, Department of Environmental Science proposed the vote of thanks.

Workshop on “Go Green” by Amity School of Fashion Design & Technology (ASFDT), AUMP, Gwalior.

 

Amity School of Fashion Design & Technology (ASFDT), AUMP organized workshop on “Go green” on 26th September 2020. The workshop was all about creating home decor items from waste material like plastics etc. In these growing times, people must rethink about their living ways. They should realize their consumption styles do not harm the environment. They must use the leftover scraps of waste to make their home look beautiful. 

 

The workshop was conducted by Ms. Shweta Singh and Ms. Mahima Nand, Assistant Professor,. Amity School of Fashion Design and Technology. Participants from all the departments of Amity University, Madhya Pradesh were invited. The workshop started with the introduction. The participants were familiarized with different products that they could make from the waste materials. After which students creatively explored their products like rope coasters, painted bottles, dress material and created their own unique range of designs.

 

The workshop ended on a good note as all the participants were happy and satisfied after creating their own products using hand waste scrap materials. The workshop was followed by participants  feedback and vote of thanks by the faculties of Amity School of Fashion Design and Technology, AUMP.

World Pharmacy Day by Amity Institute of Pharmacy (AIP), AUMP

Amity Institute of Pharmacy, AUMP organized a “Worlds Pharmacist Day” on 26.09.2020 from 9:15 am to 11:30 am. Ms. Rudrakshi Dubey and Ms. Sumana Debhgariya introduced the concept of World Pharmacy Day with a welcome speech. A guest lecture on “Path to become community pharmacy in USA” was delivered by Mr. Muralikrishna Challagundla, Pharmacy Manager at Chapel Street Pharamcy-1245 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT: 06511, USA. The brief introduction about Mr. Muralikrishna Challagundla was given by Mr. Adarsh Kumar Tiwari.

 

Mr. Muralikrishna discussed about the educational requirements, examaination and procedure to get the job for a Pharmacist in USA. He discussed about the responsibilities and duties of the pharmacist in infusion pharmacy therapy, compounding pharmacy, long term care pharmacy, nuclear pharmacy and specialized drug pharmacy. About 89 students and faculty members participated in the event.

 

The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Priyanjali Sisodia, B. Pharm. student. This programme was successfully planned and organized under the co-ordination of Dr. A.N. Nagappa along with all staff members of AIP.  The faculty co-ordinator for the event was Dr. Jovita Kanoujia. The Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University Madhya Pradesh was highly thankful to Mr. Muralikrishna to deliver an informative lecture on the online platform.

“Innovation Day” by Amity Institute of Pharmacy (AIP), AUMP

Amity Institute of Pharmacy, AUMP took immense pride in celebrating “Innovation Day” to mark the celebration of the birthday of our Hon’ble Chairman          Dr. Aseem Chauhan on 28th September 2020. The program started with a brief introduction of Innovation Day celebration given by Dr. A.N. Nagappa and            Dr. Neeraj Mishra. The essay writing competition on the topic ‘India Covid 19 Response and the Road’ was organized by faculty coordinator Dr. Shvetank Bhatt and Dr. Pawan Kumar Gupta. The duration of the program was from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. The Students participated enthusiastically. Four students were declared as a winner of the competition. First place in the essay competition was jointly secured by Juhi (B. Pharm. I Sem) and Bhumi Jain (BBA), second place was secured by Shubhi Gupta (B. Pharm. III Sem), Third place was secured by Navdeep Asthana (B. Pharm. I Sem).

 

Webinar was conducted by Amity Institute of Pharmacy from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. on topic “Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Marketing”. Dr. Neeraj Mishra gave the brief introduction about Mr. Gopa Kumar .He is the Country Head, Himalaya Drug Company, Kuwait. Mr. Kumar discussed the importance of ayurvedic formulations over allopathic drugs. He also explained the future of ayurvedic drugs in India. Mr. Gopa Kumar further explained the scope of ayurvedas in India and abroad. About 104 students and faculty members participated in the event.

 

Pharmaspontanious – Extempore Competition was organized from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm by Amity Institute Pharmacy. The faculty coordinators were Dr. Srabanti Jana, Dr. Jovita Kanoujia, and Mrs. Monika Kaushik. The students actively participated and showcased their views on the spot. The winners of this competition were Mr. Achlesh Tiwari, B. Pharm. 1st Year, Mr. Ashish Kumar, B. Pharm. 2nd year and Ms. Mishika Singh, B. Pharm. 1st year.

 

 

This programme was successfully planned and organized under the co-ordination of Dr. A.N. Nagappa along with all staff members of AIP. The Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University Madhya Pradesh was highly thankful to Mr. Gopa Kumar who delivered an informative lecture on the online platform.

ASCENT/ASL/AISS Celebrate Innovation Week 2020

 

Amity System of Communication Enhancement and Transformation, Amity School of Languages and Amity Institute of Social Sciences celebrated Amity Innovation Week 2020 from 21-29 September 2020 to mark the birthday of Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Hon’ble Chancellor and Chairman Amity University Madhya Pradesh and Addl. President RBEF. To mark the spirit of innovation and to showcase innovative practices of the department, several activities apposite to the diverse fields and language skills of the students were organized to boost their creative thinking and problem -solving skills. The week being celebrated online, the activities were so planned that the students could be motivated to express their ideas most creatively even on the e-platform.

 

With the objective of motivating the students for out-of-the-box thinking, a wide-range of creative activities were organized. The faculty of Communication Skills organized Impromptu Speeches, Group Discussions, Role Plays, Speeches, Vocabulary Games, Play-with-Proverbs, Picture Descriptions, Simulations, Case Studies, Collaborative Story Telling and Chalk-n-Talk. 

A Group Discussion on “India-China Tensions” was organized for the students of BA (H) Political Science III semester, while for the students of BA (H) Political Science I semester as well as BA (H) History I semester, the topic was “Relevance of Gandhi in the Contemporary Era”.

 

These activities were conducted during the regular Language Labs Sessions, French Classes and during one lecture each of BA Political Science III Semester, BA Political Science I Semester, and BA History I Semester. 

 

The facilities available at MS Teams Platform were used in their full potentiality to make the sessions come alive with interest, enthusiasm and team-work of the students. These activities helped the students feel re-energized and refreshed by giving them a respite in the monotony of regular online classes.
