General Introduction of the Event. The Amity School of Communication (ASCO),Organised an industrial visit for the students of BAJMC and MAJMC (1st Semester) to the Dainik Bhaskar Printing Press on 20 November. The visit aimed at providing students with industry exposure, practical understanding of the news production process, and real-time observation of newspaper printing operations. This experience was an integral part of their curriculum, helping students connect classroom learning with real-world media production.
 
1.8 Objectives of the Event
 
·       To understand the functioning and workflow of a modern printing press.
·       To learn about the stages involved in newspaper production from news collection to printing and distribution.
·       To observe the use of technology, machinery, and automated systems in news printing.
·       To provide an opportunity for students to interact with industry professionals.
·      To enhance practical understanding of media operations and industry challenges.
 
2.     Activities During the Visit
 
During the visit, students:
·       Attended a briefing session by Dainik Bhaskar officials on the history, role, and daily functioning of the organization.
·       Viewed the newsroom setup and learned how news is collected, edited, and finalized before printing.
·       Observed different units including plate making, printing machines, quality control, ink management, paper loading, and bundling.
·       Witnessed the high-speed printing machines and automation systems in action.
·       Interacted with technical staff to clarify queries about print deadlines, circulation, edition management, and technological advancements.
