Amity Institute of Behavioral & Allied Sciences organised a workshop on “Cognitive Drill Therapy”

 Amity Institute of Behavioral & Allied Sciences (AIBAS), AUMP, conducted a workshop on “Cognitive Drill Therapy” on 11th November 2019 in the auspicious presence of Dr. Rakesh Jain, Senior Clinical Psychologist and Faculty from the Institute of Mental Health and Hospital, Agra. The workshop was organized with the objective of equipping the participants with novel perspectives of treatment in

dealing with Anxiety Disorders such as Phobias and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). The course of the workshop was divided into three sections:

  • ?  To understand the issues in Phobia and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and how to understand them from the patient’sperspective

  • ?  To learn about the treatment of these conditions using the Classical Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies

  • ?  Introduction to Cognitive Drill Therapy (CDT), its uses and new methods associated with CDT in the treatment of Phobias,

    Anxiety and OCD

The workshop benefited 72 parcipants which comprised of students from M.Phil Clinical Psychology, UG & PG, psychology students, and 02 participants from outside the University. A total of 3 sessions were scheduled and each session lasted for 1.5 hours.
