Topic of the Conference: International Conference on Rethinking Theatre, Drama and Sustainable Studies (RTDS 2019)
Objectives:
The event was for scholars and students to gain knowledge related to Drama, Theatre and Sustainable Studies
The goal was to encourage students to be well acquainted with Dramatists of British, American, French, Spanish, Chinese and Hindi Literature and to give them a platform about emerging trends in Drama and Theatre
The event aimed at teaching Drama as Performing art too through Workshop and Inter- University Drama Contest and also to senstize them about sustainable studies with the help of Exhibition where the decoration and models are made out of waste materials while the posters and PPT presentations helped students to explore drama and theatre through ages culminating in post- modern period.
Two Round Table Sessions of 1hour 30minutes durations were held on themes
“New Trends in Drama and Performance” and “Women in Drama”
There were 14 parallel sessions with 87 speakers from different parts of India and the resource persons from India and abroad. Of these there were two sessions in French language, one in German, Chinese and Hindi languages, the rest all were in English
