The National Handloom Week 2023

The National Handloom Week 2023 was held from August 3 to 7 at Jawahar Kala Kendra in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Inaugurated by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot via video conference, the event aimed to promote the state's handloom and khadi sectors, reflecting Rajasthan's rich cultural heritage. The students of Amity School of Fashion Technology—Ms. Ishika Saini and Ms. Harshita Saini—designed sustainable outfits under the guidance of Prof. Sambaditya Raj. Their creations showcased an innovative fusion of traditional handloom techniques with contemporary sustainable fashion, receiving appreciation for promoting eco-friendly practices and supporting artisan livelihoods in alignment with the goals of the Handloom Week.
