Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus organized an Essay Competition .It was organized for the students to enlighten them about the bravery and sacrifices of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.

The Essay competition was organized and conducted by Dr Sonia Chadha, Assistant Professor and Dr. Sayali Mukherjee, Assistant Professor, AIBL under the able guidance of Prof (Dr) Janmejai Kumar Srivastava, Director, AIBL.
This event was inaugurated with Saraswati Vandana and followed by the welcome address by Prof (Dr) Janmejai Kumar Srivastava, Director, AIBL. Dr Singh started his session by introducing about the birth history of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji along with the lifeworks and teachings of Guruji. He also threw light on Guru ji’s selfless sacrifices for the survival of humanity. Dr. Singh gave a detailed explanation about how the Mughal Emperor, Aurangzeb forcibly asked Kashmir pandits to accept Islam and torture them. Guruji sacrificed his life to save humanity and helpeded Hindus lead a peaceful life. This was followed by the essay presentation of students and question/answer round by our honorable judge. The results were finally compiled and announced by our honorable judge, DR Surjeet Singh. Finally, vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Sayali Mukherjee, Assistant Professor, AIB.
