As part of the Educational Tour and Learning activity, an Industrial visit was organized by CRC department to the, AMUL, Lucknow Pant for the students of B.Sc. (MB), B.Sc. (BT) and B.Tech. (BT).
The key objective was to provide an experiential learning to the students by apprising them about the working and functioning of a high-end food and dairy industrial plant in terms of sanitation, maintenance and state-of-the-art technology.
The students were made aware of the regular testing and key analytical factors performed on food samples to ensure the food produced is contamination-free. The students were also educated about the use of – Kaizen, DMT (Daily Management Indicator) and KPI (Key Point Indicators) in a food and dairy industry.
Students were also familiarised with the concepts of risk elimination, risk assessment and food safety enhancement and management practices such as HACCP.
