Maintaining the dignity of the house

Amity Institute of Liberal Arts, Amity University Lucknow Campus, organised the ‘Amity Youth Parliament, Igniting the Change’, on October 8, 2024. It was a groundbreaking event aimed at fostering leadership and civic engagement among youth, empowering the voices of tomorrow. Students from various universities and institutions of Lucknow participated in a dynamic platform for discussion, debate, and collaboration.
The Amity Youth Parliament-24 featured keynote addresses from the chief guest, Mr Siddharth Verma, Secretory, Indian Railway Traffic Service, who inspired participants with his insights on youth empowerment and social change. The event also included a speech by Prof. (Dr.) Anil Vashisht, Honourable Pro VC, Amity University Lucknow Campus. He addressed the audience and said that the university aims to inspire young leaders to actively engage in societal challenges and contribute to their communities. 
Participants engaged in rigorous debates, honing their public speaking and critical thinking skills while advocating for innovative solutions. The Executive Board of the event, Ms. Aparna Mishra, Ministry of Education and Member of International Youth Diplomacy Forum, laid the importance of such platforms, which allow students to voice their concerns and teach us the importance of collaboration and diplomacy in problem-solving.
A total of 72 delegates registered for the event out of which 36 were from Lucknow University, Isabella Thoburn College, Babu Banarasi Das University, Navyug Kanya Mahavidyalaya and several other institutions of Lucknow. Two best speakers were awarded 8500 INR each and two special mentions were awarded 5000 INR each, by the sponsors.
