Amity Institute of Pharmacy under the aegis of Amity University Uttar Pradesh Lucknow Campus organized a webinar on “COVID-19 resources available to Pharmacy professionals from CPA” by Dr Rao VSV Vadlamudi, President, Commonwealth Pharmacists Association, Immediate Past President, Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Former Director, St. Peter's Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Warangal, Telangana, Former Adjunct Professor, Acharya & B.M Reddy College of Pharmacy, Bengaluru. The program was held on 18th May, 2020 on WeBex platform. Prof. Dr. Suneela Dhaneshwar, Director AIP & Dy Dean Research coordinated this webinar. The event was attended by 89 participants from academia, industry and research institutes Pan-India.
The objectives of the event were:
To share the resources on COVID 19 made available by CPA.
2. To discuss the viable strategies for prevention of COVID-19
3. To create awareness about the disease and role of community pharmacist in COVID era.The pharmacy students should play a proactive role in creating awareness in the society about the preventive measures for corona virus spread and educate the common man on the risks of self- medication and about not believing the rumors and misinformation being circulated on the social media platforms.
