This event was organized to celebrate the Day of Belongingness which marks the birthday of our Chancellor, Dr. Atul Chauhan. This was an event with a social cause to donate and extend out help to the housekeeping staff of Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus. The donation was collected from all the faculties and students of AIP and other institutes by the student’s coordinators of the event. All students of PharmD 1st Year and few students of B. Pharm 1st Sem participated in this event.
The collection drive started on 25th April 2022 and for three consecutive days the donations were collected from different faculties and students of AUUP, Lucknow campus. Donations in the form of clothes (men’s wear, ladies wear, kids wear), toys, stationary items, bedsheets, towels, and footwear were collected in huge amount. These were then segregated and checked for their quality only donations which were in good conditions were segregated and packets were made for donations. Few packets having kids wear were made separately to be given to those who had kids at their home. The students were very excited to execute this event.
On the day of donation (Thursday, 28th April 2022) all the housekeeping staff were invited and they were made seated in the seminar hall AB6 and the program started which a briefing of the event by Dr. Neha Mathur, Assistant Professor, AIP followed by the address by Prof.(Dr.) Suneela Dhaneshwar, Director AIP. The packets prepared where then handed over to each housekeeping staff by the guests, Director AIP, faculties of AIP and students volunteers. Experience sharing was done by the receivers who expressed their birthday wishes to Hon. Chancellor AUUP and their gratitude towards the organization. The event culminated by a group photograph.
